How PrizePicks lineups work
After you complete registration and get your bonus funds, you can make your first lineups. A lineup consists of two to six picks featuring player projections. For each pick, you have to select whether the player will get more or less than the number listed.
Each subsequent pick you make beyond the second one will increase the payout on your lineup, with you being able to win 25x your cash stake if you win a six-pick lineup.
After you make your picks, you will need to finalize your lineup by making it a “Power Play” or a “Flex Play”. With a “Power Play,” you have to get all your picks right to have a successful lineup. A “Flex Play” requires a minimum of three picks in your lineup, and allows you to miss one and still win your lineup. However, it also lowers your payout multiplier.
Best Mavericks-Timberwolves picks on PrizePicks
There is a chance that the Western Conference Finals in the NBA will end today, as the Mavericks have a chance to eliminate the Timberwolves. This game won’t be easy for Dallas, considering the Timberwolves are a talented team. The game will also be played in Minnesota, meaning Dallas won’t have the home-court advantage they did in Game 4.
PrizePicks has plenty of picks listed for the Mavericks-Timberwolves contest this evening for you to create your lineups. Here are three options I found intriguing.
- Anthony Edwards to score more than 27.5 points
- Kyrie Irving to score more than 22.5 points
- Rudy Gobert to get less than 12.5 rebounds + assists
Anthony Edwards managed to score 29 points against the Mavericks to stave off elimination in Game 4. The Timberwolves will need the superstar to show up here to have a chance of doing so again. Edwards is averaging 27.5 points in the playoffs, and even if the Timberwolves lose tonight, there’s a high chance Edwards will go out scoring at a high level.
Kyrie Irving had a poor outing in Game 4, only scoring 16 points on 6-18 shooting. Still, the point guard may bounce back in Game 5. He’s scored more than 22.5 points twice in this series, and the Mavericks will need that sort of performance to close out the series. It is almost a certainty that Irving will have the volume of shots to surpass 22.5 points. Since he has a penchant for showing up in big games, I believe he will be able to get more than 22.5 points here.
Rudy Gobert isn’t a particularly good playmaker, and his rebounding has certainly taken a hit in this series against the Mavericks. The big man has not managed to surpass the 12.5 rebounds + assists mark in any of the games against Dallas. He is also only averaging 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game against the Mavericks in the series, and it seems as though Gobert might struggle here once again.
