The NBA playoffs will officially start this Saturday, with the conclusion of the play-in tournament on Friday. The most hyped matchup will be the Suns-Timberwolves game. It will feature plenty of star power, with young guard Anthony Edwards trying to lead Minnesota over the Phoenix three-headed monster of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.

Karl-Anthony Towns has struggled scoring-wise since returning from a lengthy injury layoff. However, the Suns don’t really have players at the PF position with the size and length to guard him. The center averaged 21.8 points per game this season, and it is fair to assume that he’ll have similar scoring numbers tonight as long as he gets his regular touches.
The 23.5-point mark seems a little low for Kevin Durant, considering he averaged 27.1 points during the regular season. Though Durant has often sacrificed his scoring when the Suns’ star trio was healthy, I expect his usage and minutes to increase in the playoffs overall.
Rudy Gobert will have an advantage against the Suns in the rebounding department. He is one of the best rebounders in the league, who finished the regular season putting up 12.9 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Jusuf Nurkic only finished the season averaging 11.0 rebounds. Gobert is more athletic and bigger than Nurkic, so we should see him dominate on the boards here.
