The way the deposit match works is straightforward. You get bonus funds equal to your first deposit with PrizePicks, with a maximum value of $100. So if you deposit $20, you will get $20 in bonus bets.
To place an entry with PrizePicks, select two to six squares with player projections. You must then determine whether a player will get more or less than the number listed. The more picks are part of your entry, the higher your potential payout should you win.
You are not limited to making picks from a single sport in one entry. For example, I could make a three-pick entry with one pick from each of the NBA, NHL, and NCAA Basketball.

Friday’s best NBA picks on PrizePicks
The main attraction this Friday is the NBA. One of the key matchups tonight will be Heat-Pelicans, with both teams likely aiming to win to try and avoid the play-in tournament.
Here are some picks I found intriguing for Heat-Pelicans and other NBA games this evening.
- Brandon Ingram more than 17.5 points (Goblin pick)
- Anthony Edwards less than 27.5 points
- Clint Capela more than 8.5 rebounds
The Brandon Ingram pick is a “Goblin” pick, which means that it is easier to hit but lowers the overall payout multiplier of your entry. Ingram has been an inconsistent scorer this season but is still averaging 21.4 points per game. The 17.5 mark seems low, especially since the Heat will likely focus on stopping Zion Williamson.
The Milwaukee Bucks have a lot of size in the frontcourt between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez. This could cause problems for a slasher like Anthony Edwards. The shooting guard is averaging 26.2 points on the season and put up 26.0 points in his last game against the Bucks.
Clint Capela is averaging 10.5 rebounds on the season and has gotten more than 8.5 rebounds in 8 of his last 10 games. In most matchups, Capela seems to be a solid pick to get around 10 rebounds, and the 8.5 rebound mark seems a little low to me here.
After you make your picks, you can place your entry as a “Power Play” or a “Flex Play”. Making a “Power Play” means you have to get all your picks right, but that entry form has a higher payout multiplier. A “Flex Play” lets you miss on one of your picks, but lowers the payout multiplier of your entry.
