The PGA TOUR season concludes this week with the RSM Classic. Since 2015, this event has featured multiple courses in the Seaside Course (par 70, 7,005 yards, Bermuda greens) and the Plantation Course (par 72, 7,060 yards, Bermuda greens) of the Sea Island Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia. This is a field of 156 golfers, and each player will play one round at the Seaside and Plantation courses to begin this event. Then, there will be a normal top-65 and ties cut, and the players who advance will play their final two rounds on the Seaside Course. Ludvig Aberg connivingly won by four shots at a tournament record -29 last year, and all the players who rank inside the top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings following this week’s RSM Classic will earn full-time status for the 2024-25 season on the PGA TOUR.
The PGA DFS Breakdown offers data-driven analysis for each week’s slate, using the FantasyLabs Tools and metrics to highlight notable golfers.
I’ll be highlighting the best cash game/single-entry plays on the DraftKings main slate, but these players are often great options in any contest.
My analysis will frequently reference Strokes Gained, a set of proprietary metrics generated by the PGA TOUR using millions of data points to calculate how many shots, on average, it takes a player to get the ball in the hole from every distance and situation.
Strokes Gained is now available in the FantasyLabs PGA Models.
There are a variety of Strokes Gained-related metrics, but the six main categories you need to know include:
- Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee (SG: Off-the-Tee)
- Strokes Gained: Approach (SG: Approach)
- Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green (SG: Around-the-Green)
- Strokes Gained: Putting (SG: Putting)
- Strokes Gained: Ball-Striking (SG: Ball-Striking), which is SG: Off-the-Tee + SG: Approach
- Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (SG: Tee-to-Green), which is SG: Ball-Striking + SG: Around-the-Green
Don’t forget to check out two key metrics in our models — Perfect% and SimLeverage. You can find an explainer on those metrics here.
The cliff notes version is that you can use SimLeverage to quickly find leverage plays in tournaments, while Perfect% is great for finding the best price-considered plays for cash games.
And don’t forget to utilize our various PGA DFS tools like our Lineup Optimizer, Lineup Builder, PGA Correlation Dashboard, and our Trends tool.

DraftKings $10,000+ Range
Ludvig Aberg ($11,200)
Aberg is well worth this slate-high salary in his title defense. As noted above, the 25-year-old ran away with a four-shot victory at the RSM Classic last season, finishing at a tournament-record -29, including a 9-under 61 in the final round, which is the lowest score of his career. As the No.5 ranked player in the world, Aberg is the highest-ranked player competing this week by a whopping 19 spots, and while he hasn’t competed since early September, Aberg has carded two top-five finishes in his last five starts. Aberg’s +900 odds to win the RSM Classic on the DraftKings Sportsbook are the best in the field by a mile, and starting your cash game lineup with the Swede is a must this week.

DraftKings $9,000 Range
Ben Griffin ($9,300)
Griffin is on the heels of a T8 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship last week, which is his fifth top-25 finish in his last eight starts. Griffin ranks 35th in SG: Approach this season and he has finished T29th and T8th at the past two RSM Classics. Sitting at No.70th in the world golf rankings, which is the highest Griffin has ever ranked before a RSM Classic, the 28-year-old could contend for a win this weekend.
Seamus Power ($9,200)
Power has finished inside the top five at each of the last two RSM Classics, and another top five is absolutely on the table for the Irishman this week. Power has made 11 of his last 13 cuts, and four of his last five finishes have been top-13 results. The veteran is fresh off a closing round 65 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship last week – which was the lowest score of the final round – and is a sensational high-end value at this $9,200 price tag.
DraftKings $8,000 Range
J.J. Spaun ($8,400)
Spaun’s salary inexcusably dropped $600 since his last start, and he is an awesome target at this salary. When excluding his first-round withdrawal from the Sanderson Farms Championship, Spaun has made 11 straight cuts, with nine of these finishes being top-30 results. The veteran ranks 17th in SG: Approach this season, and his success at the RSM Classic should continue in this great form. At this multi-course tournament, Spaun has made 7-of-8 cuts, including four top-16 finishes, three of which have come in the last three years.
Lucas Glover ($8,200)
Glover is one of the best iron players in the world, which always makes him a smart target for cash games when he is reasonably priced. Glover ranks fifth in SG: Approach this season, and he has gone a perfect 5-for-5 in made cuts during the fall swing. Four of these finishes have come inside the top-25, and Glover has made 4-of-5 cuts at the RSM Classic since the multiple-course style was implemented, including three top-25 finishes.
DraftKings $7,000 Range
Matt Kuchar ($7,600)
Kuchar has been consistent, advancing to the weekend in nine of his past 12 starts, and the veteran has flashed solid upside during this run, with six top-30 finishes. Kuchar has made 6-of-8 cuts at the RSM Classic since the event started featuring multiple courses, and he is a perfect match for the Seaside Course in his current form. When we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, Kuchar ranks seventh in SG: Approach, first in par-4 efficiency, and fourth in 400-450-yard par-4 efficiency, which is crucial for this week, with nine of the 12 par 4s at the Seaside Course falling in this range. Notably, each of the past two RSM Classic winners has led their fields in efficiency on the 400-450-yard par 4s of the Seaside Course.
Jacob Bridgeman ($7,600)
Bridgeman finished T12th at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship last week, marking his seventh made cut and fifth top-20 finish in his last eight starts. Bridgeman ranks sixth in 400-450-yard par-4 efficiency over his last 24 rounds, and his flat stick has been excellent, with him ranking fifth in SG: Putting during this time, which bodes well for the low-scoring conditions Bridgeman will face at the RSM Classic this week. For four years running, the winner of this event has finished the week top-10 in SG: Putting.
Daniel Berger ($7,500)
After nearly taking two years off due to a back injury and a rocky start when he first returned, Berger is finally starting to show signs of his former self. The former top-12-ranked player in the world has made six of his last seven cuts and tallied two top-20 finishes during this time frame. Berger has never competed at an RSM Classic since the event started using two courses, but he has the tools to thrive this week. Berger ranks fifth in par-4 efficiency and 11th in 400-450-yard par-4 efficiency over his last 24 rounds, and the Floridian has always been at his best on Bermuda greens. When we compare this field’s last 50 rounds at courses home to this type of putting surface via the Rabbit Hole, Berger ranks third in strokes gained per round.
Greyson Sigg ($7,300)
Sigg has been awesome, finishing T4th, MC, T11th, T23rd, and T9th in his last five starts and shooting under par in 12 straight rounds. The 29-year-old ranks second in 400-450-yard par-4 efficiency when we analyze this field’s last 24 rounds, and he has finished inside the top 15 at the last two RSM Classics. Sigg deserved to be priced in the $8K range and is a must-have value play this week.

DraftKings $6,000 and Below Range
Zach Johnson ($6,900)
Johnson has made five of his last eight cuts, and his work on the greens has been the main factor for his success, with the multiple major champion ranking 17th in SG: Putting when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds. As for his resume at the RSM Classic, Johnson has been in the mix for wins at this event, with three top-eight finishes. The 48-year-old has made 6-of-9 cuts at the RSM Classics that feature multiple courses, and Johnson’s veteran savviness for this format should help him advance through the cut this week.
