Following the Masters, we have another huge tournament up next with the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links (par 71, 7,213 yards, POA Trivialis greens) in Hilton Head, South Carolina. As one of the PGA TOUR’s eight Signature Events, the RBC Heritage features all the PGA TOUR’s best players competing for a purse of $20 million. There will be 72 golfers competing this week and there will be no cut. Harbour Town has hosted the RBC Heritage since 1969 and Scottie Scheffler (-19) is the defending champion after winning by three strokes last season.
The PGA DFS Breakdown offers data-driven analysis for each week’s slate, using the FantasyLabs Tools and metrics to highlight notable golfers.
I’ll be highlighting the best cash game/single-entry plays on the DraftKings main slate, but these players are often great options in any contest.
My analysis will frequently reference Strokes Gained, a set of proprietary metrics generated by the PGA TOUR using millions of data points to calculate how many shots, on average, it takes a player to get the ball in the hole from every distance and situation.
Strokes Gained is now available in the FantasyLabs PGA Models.
There are a variety of Strokes Gained-related metrics, but the six main categories you need to know include:
- Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee (SG: Off-the-Tee)
- Strokes Gained: Approach (SG: Approach)
- Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green (SG: Around-the-Green)
- Strokes Gained: Putting (SG: Putting)
- Strokes Gained: Ball-Striking (SG: Ball-Striking), which is SG: Off-the-Tee + SG: Approach
- Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (SG: Tee-to-Green), which is SG: Ball-Striking + SG: Around-the-Green
Don’t forget to check out two key metrics in our models — Perfect% and SimLeverage. You can find an explainer on those metrics here.
The Cliffs Notes version is that you can use SimLeverage to quickly find leverage plays in tournaments, while Perfect% is great for finding the best price-considered plays for cash games.
And don’t forget to utilize our various PGA DFS tools like our Lineup Optimizer, Lineup Builder, PGA Correlation Dashboard, and our Trends tool.
The following players listed are based on DraftKings scoring and pricing.

DraftKings $10,000+ Range
Scottie Scheffler ($13,100)
With no cut to worry about and many strong, cheap plays to consider this week, there isn’t any reason to fade Scheffler in cash games. After finishing T11th in his first attempt at Harbour Town two years ago, Scheffler ran away with a three-shot win at this course last season. The world No. 1 posted a tournament-low 8-under 63 during the third round last season and Scheffler has shot 69 or better in his eight career rounds at the par 71. Scheffler ranks first among this field in Strokes Gained per round at Harbour Town and he was right in the mix for his third green jacket at the Masters last week, finishing T4th, which comes after he finished runner-up at the Houston Open. Scheffler is on the brink of winning again and Harbour Town is the perfect place for him to capture his first victory of the season. This venue was designed by Pete Dye and three of Scheffler’s last eight wins have come at Dye courses.

DraftKings $9,000 Range
Shane Lowry ($9,600)
Lowry has finished T3rd twice at Harbour Town and he has finished T13th or better in 10 of his last 13 starts worldwide. Lowry’s irons have been outstanding this season, with the Irishman ranking fourth in SG Approach. Plus, Lowry leads the PGA TOUR in proximity to the hole on approach shots from 175-200 yards, which is great news for Harbour Town. At this course, over the last five years, 29% of approach shots have come from 175-200 yards out, which is a significant portion. In comparison, the PGA TOUR average over the last five years is just 18.7%. Lowry should contend this week and is the best target in the $9,000 range. In his two starts at Signature Events this season, Lowry has finished runner-up and T7th.
Tommy Fleetwood ($9,400)
Fleetwood has finished inside the top 25 in three of his five starts at Harbour Town and the Englishman has been extremely reliable this season, with a top-25 finish in all but one of his seven starts. Fleetwood ranks 11th in SG: Approach and he ranks seventh in Strokes Gained per round when analyzing this field’s histories at Dye designs. Fleetwood is a lock for a top-20 finish this week and, per usual, is one of the safest options on the board.
DraftKings $8,000 Range
Sepp Straka ($8,800)
Straka should bounce back in a big way at the RBC Heritage after missing the cut at the Masters. The Austrian has finished inside the top five in two of his last three starts at Harbour Town and Straka ranks second in the FedEx Cup standings this season, thanks to seven top-15 finishes in 11 starts, most notably with a win at the American Express in January. This season, Straka ranks fifth in SG: Approach, fourth in proximity from 175-200 yards out and first in par five performance, making him a perfect match for Harbour Town. For three years running, the RBC Heritage winner has either led their field or finished runner-up in par 5 performance.
Daniel Berger ($8,300)
Berger’s great comeback season continued at the Masters with a T21 finish. The 32-year-old has carded seven top-25 finishes in 10 starts this season and he ranks 10th in total strokes gained. At Harbour Town, Berger has been terrific, finishing T3rd, T13th, and T21st in his last three visits. Berger’s strong all-around game always makes him a threat at Dye tracks and he has rose to the occasion of competing at Signature Events this season, with a top-15 finish at both Signature Events he has teed it up for.
DraftKings $7,000 Range
Aaron Rai ($7,900)
Rai posted a solid T48 finish in his lone start at Harbour Town two years ago, but it’s safe to expect a much better result in his second attempt at the course this week. The Englishman is the No. 28 ranked player in the world, which is 98 spots higher than when he made his RBC Heritage two years ago. This season, Rai has produced five top-30 finishes in nine starts and he ranks 27th in total strokes gained. Rai also ranks 20th in par 5 performance and he is a standout option when you compare DFS pricing to outright odds to win. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Rai carries +4000 odds to win the RBC Heritage, which are better odds than Jordan Spieth, who costs $9,100 for DFS on DraftKings.
Bud Cauley ($7,500)
Cauley has been on a tear, finishing T6th, T4th, and T5th in his last three starts, with that T6th coming at TPC Sawgrass for THE PLAYERS Championship, which, like Harbour Town, was designed by Dye. Cauley has gained strokes on approach and with his putter during each of these last three finishes, and he only shot over par once in these 12 rounds. For the season, Cauley ranks fourth in Total Strokes Gained, 15th in SG: Approach and 12th in proximity on approach shots from 175-200 yards. The 35-year-old has finished inside the top 25 in two of his last four starts at Harbour Town – including a T9 in 2017 – and Cauley could be in store for a career-best finish at the Dye creation if he can maintain his incredible form.
Tom Hoge ($7,100)
This salary by no means reflects Hoge’s current form and he is an elite value play this week. In his last three starts, Hoge has finished T3rd at THE PLAYERS Championship, T5th at the Valero Texas Open and T14th at the Masters. All of these finishes are career-best results for him at these events and seeing Hoge contend in world-class fields at THE PLAYERS Championship and the Masters bodes well for his chances this week at a Signature Event. Plus, THE PLAYERS Championship was played at another Dye design in TPC Sawgass. Hoge gained strokes on approach and with his putter at each of these past three events, and he shot under par in eight of these last 12 rounds, despite all these events being at challenging courses. Hoge ranks top 15 in both SG: Approach and par five performance this season, and he has finished inside the top 25 in two of his last four starts at Harbour Town, including a T18 last season.

DraftKings $6,000 and Below Range
Lucas Glover ($6,900)
While Glover let us down with a missed cut at the Masters, we need to go right back to the veteran this week. Including a T3 at the Dye designed TPC Sawgrass, Glover had carded back-to-back top-eight finishes before the Masters and he has finished inside the top-25 four times in nine starts this season. For the season, Glover ranks 18th in total strokes gained and 27th in SG: Approach. The former major champion has finished T33rd or better in 10 of his 22 starts at Harbour Town and Glover should rebound with a solid finish this weekend. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Glover’s +7500 odds to win the RBC Heritage are the best among all the players priced under $7,000 for DFS.
Matt Kuchar ($6,000)
Kuchar was inexcusably priced at the bare minimum this week and is a compelling punt for cash games that will help you roster Scheffler with ease. Kuchar is coming off his best showing of the season with a T18 at the Valero Texas Open, in which he gained strokes in every major category except with his driver. Kuchar has only missed one cut in six starts this season, including a solid T42 finish at THE PLAYERS Championship last month. At Harbour Town, Kuchar has a long history of flourishing. In 19 starts at the par 71, Kuchar has carded 13 top-25 finishes, including a win in 2014, a runner-up in 2019 and a T3 just three years ago. Among the players in this week’s field that have competed at Harbour Town more than once, Kuchar ranks fourth in Strokes Gained per round and fifth in career average finish. The 46-year-old has two career wins at Dye designs and the last time he teed it up at Harbour Town, Kuchar was priced up to $7,700 on DraftKings.
