They told me to write an intro, but in the spirit of the budding Aaron Rodgers-Matt LaFleur relationship, I called an audible at the line.
Cash Game Roster Construction
DraftKings
The goal in cash games on one-game slates should be to capture as much of the game’s TD scoring as possible. There will be some exceptions, but generally, the ideal way to go about this is to roster the starting QB and top RB on each team. The foremost of those exceptions? Davante Adams, who scored no fewer than 16.0 DraftKings points in each of the 15 games he suited up for last season, including 5-88-1 and 8-119-0 in two matchups against the Bears.
Adams, Aaron Rodgers and Mitch Trubisky are the three highest projected players on the slate in our DK Showdown Models. The inherent nature of Adams’ position gives him a much lower projected floor relative to Rodgers and Trubisky, but his established track record as a models-breaking superstar has led me to believe that the best course of action is to split up Captain shares between all three.
Regardless of whether you use the 1.5x slot on Adams, Rodgers, or Trubusky, a lineup containing all three fits alongside both kickers (Eddy Piniero, Mason Crosby).
