Cash Game Strategy
With Dalvin Cook (shoulder) on the shelf for Minnesota and the Packers 5.5-point road underdogs (view live odds), Kirk Cousins leads the way in Captain Projected Plus/Minus in our DraftKings Showdown Models. Locking Cousins in the 1.5x slot leaves enough salary to also squeeze in Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, Michael Boone, and Ameer Abdullah, who actually has the top Projected Plus/Minus in the normal FLEX spot as he gets set to assume No. 2 back duties for the Vikings.
C.J. Ham is the top projected player that fits in the final slot. The Minnesota fullback makes the most sense from a floor standpoint given the rest of the build, as he is liable to be used as a third-down/hurry-up back. Ham enters this contest having played more pass snaps (122) and drawn more targets (21) than Boone and Abdullah combined (71 pass snaps, 10 targets).
Per our FanDuel ANYFLEX Models, the optimal FanDuel configuration is Cousins-Rodgers-Boone-Adam Thielen–Jamaal Williams. There is minimal difference in the projection of Boone and Jones, but Jones is $2,000 more, while Williams is more of a 1b than most realize, having played 42% of the snaps this season and no fewer than 40% since Week 4, when he got hurt after one snap. Williams sits atop of our projected value rankings for FanDuel.
