NFL Player Props: Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott Picks for Cowboys-Titans on Thursday Night Football

dak prescott's 2024 fantasy outlook

This matchup appeared far more appealing before the season, with two likely playoff teams matching up. However, Tennessee has nothing to play for, as their matchup against Jacksonville next week is for the division regardless of this week’s results. The Titans’ have ruled out a bunch of starters as they’re looking ahead to next week’s contest.

Dallas has slightly more to play for, as they could catch Philadelphia in the division if they win their remaining two games and the Eagles drop both. With the Titans rolling out a bunch of backups and the Cowboys favored by about two touchdowns, we could be in for another primetime blowout.

After a 2-0 night on Monday Night, the props sit at 35-32 on the year. Hopefully, we can have another 2-0 night to give us a cushion over .500!

Cowboys-Titans NFL Player Prop Picks

Dak Prescott Over 235.5 Passing Yards

There’s been a lot of news about the Titans’ resting players for this game, and players have been getting ruled out on both sides. However, we know that Dallas is going to try to win the game, and we know that Dak Prescott will be under center.

This Tennessee defense has shut down opposing running games all year. They are second in Football Outsiders rush defense DVOA and second in Rush EPA per play allowed. Their pass defense isn’t up to the same level, ranking merely 27th in Pass Defense DVOA and 26th in Pass EPA per play allowed.

The Titans are a huge pass funnel, as they’ve faced a league-high 39.7 pass attempts per game. They’ve already ruled out Bud Dupree, Denico Autry, Zach Cunningham, Amani Hooker, and Kristian Fulton for this matchup. Dallas also ruled out Tony Pollard, which dings their running game.

The best course of action is to throw the ball, and the matchup is shreddable. Our Prop Tool has this line at 239.5, showing some value in the over.

Ezekiel Elliot Under 71.5 Rushing Yards

For many reasons why we like Prescott to exceed his passing total, we like Ezekiel Elliott to come in under his yardage total. Zeke has exceeded this number in five of thirteen games so far this year, which is honestly more than expected.

The Titans are second in rush defense DVOA and second in Rush EPA per play allowed on the season. They have a bunch of starters missing on defense, but their run defense is still the decisive point on the defensive side of the ball.

Pollard is out for tonight’s matchup, which could funnel more touches to Elliott. However, with Dallas favored by about two touchdowns, we could see them mix in some of the backup running backs like Mike Davis. With Dallas looking forward to the playoffs, they’ll likely try to avoid putting too much work on Elliott.

Our Prop Tool has this number at 64.0 yards, showing some solid value in the under.
