OwnersBox is one of the unique DFS sites that still has traditional daily salary cap contests in addition to their Lightning Lineups contests.
In Lightning Lineups, the OwnersBox app will provide three sets of lineups for a given sport and slate, each lineup with three players. From there, users pick which lineup they think will score the most points. If you don’t like the options, you can spin for new lineups.
Spin. Pick. Win. OwnersBox innovative Lighting Lineups format is the most electric way to play daily fantasy sports.
Another reason to sign up with OwnersBox is their current Big Game Giveaway promotion. When you enter a lineup, you’ll earn “giveaway entries” for their Big Game drawing. What can you win? Two FRONT ROW tickets to Super Bowl LVIII + a VIP Fan Experience + Meet & Greets + Flights & Accommodations — over $40K in value!
Also, our OwnersBox promo code delivers new users a $500 sign-up offer. Their 100% deposit match up to $500 is by far the best among DFS sites.
Anyway, this article will focus on the more traditional salary cap DFS lineups that we’re all accustomed to. The best part about OwnersBox is their DFS product is a Superflex format with no defense.
I’ll be highlighting my favorite play at each position using our NFL projections inside our NFL Player Models.
Don’t forget to check out our Lineup Builder if you like to hand build your lineups or our Lineup Optimizer for those of you who like to enter multiple lineups into tournaments.

NFL DFS Quarterback Pick
Dak Prescott ($6,700) vs. New York Giants
Only one player on the entire slate is projected to return 3.0 Pts/Sal this week, and that’s Dak Prescott as the Cowboys host the Giants. Comparing position to position is especially important with the SuperFlex format, and Prescott projects to offer the highest return on investment of any player from the 20 teams on the main slate.
Prescott has been trending up lately and has thrown for seven touchdowns and 678 yards in his two games since returning from his Bye Week. He has finished in the top three in quarterback fantasy production in each of the last three weeks. Last week, he led a furious charge against a tough Eagles defense that came up just short, but his fantasy numbers were superb. He threw for a season-high 374 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
This week, he’ll face the Giants, who have suffered multiple key injuries over the past several weeks. The Cowboys have the highest implied team total on the slate, and even though the Giants’ pass defense has been decent, Prescott should be able to put up big numbers in his current form. The potential for a blowout is there, as indicated by the 17-point spread, but Dak is still the top option on the slate this week.
NFL DFS Running Back Pick
Bijan Robinson ($5,800) at Arizona Cardinals
Several of the elite running backs are in tough matchups this week, so it may be the right week to look for some value further down the board. The second-highest Pts/Sal on the slate at the position comes from Bijan Robinson, who has been making the most of his opportunities even though his usage has been a little baffling.
Robinson has averaged just 11.4 carries per game in his nine games this season and has had more than 15 carries only one time. In each of the last two weeks, he has received exactly 11 carries despite averaging 4.6 and 5.6 yards per carry in those two contests. Robinson did have nine targets in the past two weeks, so there is also room for him to add to his production with some receiving production. He’s averaging 5.0 yards per carry on the season and ranks highly in all the missed tackle and explosive run measurements.
His abilities give him a sky-high ceiling if coach Arthur Smith decides to turn him loose this week against the Cardinals, who have given up the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Arizona has allowed 13 running back touchdowns and has given up an average of 107.6 rushing yards and 30.6 receiving yards per game to the position.
He’s a high-risk play since his usage is uncertain, but he’s in a smash spot if he gets the opportunity to succeed.
NFL DFS Wide Receiver Pick
Tank Dell ($5,300) at Cincinnati Bengals
The top two wide receiver Pts/Sal projections come from this game between the Bengals and the Texans, which has the second-highest over/under on the slate. While Ja’Marr Chase projects to be a great play if he’s able to battle through his back injury, the more affordable option to consider from this contest is Tank Dell, who is second only to Chase in Pts/Sal at the position.
Dell went off for a monster game last week as the Texans stormed back to best the Bucs. The rookie had his first multi-touchdown game in the NFL and hauled in six catches on a career-high 11 targets for 114 yards. He has been a big-play threat all season for the much-improved Houston offense, but now he’s getting more looks on a regular basis since returning from a concussion that sidelined him in Week 6 before the team’s bye week.
Both Robert Woods (foot) and Nico Collins (calf) have been limited this week by injuries, and if either or both are sidelined, there would be even more targets available for Dell. Even if both those veterans are active on Sunday, Dell’s big game and ability to make plays should get him enough looks to make him a strong value in this matchup with the Bengals.
Cincinnati has allowed over 150 receiving yards to wide receivers in six of their eight games this year, including each of the past three weeks. The Bengals have been playing a lot of single-high safety coverages over the past few weeks, which could open things up for Dell to get loose for a big play or two.
The rookie crackles with upside in this blossoming offense, and getting him at barely over $5K is too good a deal to pass up this week in what is expected to be a game with plenty of points.
NFL DFS Tight End Pick
Sam LaPorta ($4,800) at Los Angeles Chargers
Let’s keep this rookie train rolling! LaPorta has been excellent throughout his rookie season and has become one of the go-to options in the Lions’ passing attack. LaPorta has the highest median and ceiling projections of all the tight ends on Sunday’s slate, even though he has just the fourth-highest salary. He’s also tied for second in Pts/Sal at the position.
Before last week’s bye week, LaPorta led the Lions in receptions and targets while hauling in 8-of-10 chances for 57 yards and his fourth touchdown of the season. In his eight games this season, he has averaged 7.4 targets per game, with at least five targets in all but one contest. Lately, his role has been growing, and he has double-digit targets in two of his past three games.
This is a great matchup for LaPorta since the Chargers have given up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season, allowing an average of 6.6 receptions for 69.0 yards per game to opposing tight ends. They were dismantled by Travis Kelce in Week 7, and LaPorta will look to put up a similar monster game this week in one of the most interesting games on Sunday’s schedule.
