OwnersBox is one of the unique DFS sites that still has traditional daily salary cap contests in addition to their Lightning Lineups contests.
In Lightning Lineups, the OwnersBox app will provide three sets of lineups for a given sport and slate, each lineup with three players. From there, users pick which lineup they think will score the most points. If you don’t like the options, you can spin for new lineups.
Spin. Pick. Win. OwnersBox innovative Lighting Lineups format is the most electric way to play daily fantasy sports.
Another reason to sign up with OwnersBox is their current Big Game Giveaway promotion. When you enter a lineup, you’ll earn “giveaway entries” for their Big Game drawing. What can you win? Two FRONT ROW tickets to Super Bowl LVIII + a VIP Fan Experience + Meet & Greets + Flights & Accommodations — over $40K in value!
Also, our OwnersBox promo code delivers new users a $500 sign-up offer. Their 100% deposit match up to $500 is by far the best among DFS sites.
Anyway, this article will focus on the more traditional salary cap DFS lineups that we’re all accustomed to. The best part about OwnersBox is their DFS product is a Superflex format with no defense.
I’ll be highlighting my favorite play at each position using our NFL projections inside our NFL Player Models.

NFL DFS Quarterback Pick
Lamar Jackson ($7,400) vs. Seattle Seahawks
At the top of the quarterback projections this week, it’s very close between star quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. They rank No. 1 and No. 2 in median and ceiling projection as well as in Pts/Sal for all players at all positions. With the Superflex setup, you could definitely include both if you go cheap in other spots, but if you have to choose between the two, I’d lean slightly towards Jackson, who also comes $200 cheaper.
Jackson also has a slightly higher ceiling projection and gets a better matchup against the Seahawks instead of the Cowboys. He has been especially excellent at home this season and posted 357 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and a fourth touchdown on the ground in his most recent home game when the Ravens beat the Lions.
Last week, Jackson slowed down a bit since he only needed to throw for 157 yards and a touchdown to lead the Ravens to a comfortable road win in Arizona. Overall though, he seems to have adjusted well to offensive coordinator Todd Monken’s offense and is utilizing his improved receiver options. Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, and Odell Beckham can be part of a solid Ravens stack against Seattle.
The Ravens have the highest implied team total on the slate, and Jackson’s dual-threat ability always gives him a very high ceiling.
NFL DFS Running Back Pick
D’Andre Swift ($6,100) vs. Dallas Cowboys
Of all the running backs in play on Sunday’s main slate, Swift has the highest Pts/Sal projection. He’s the seventh-most expensive back on OwnersBox but has the third-highest median and floor projections.
Swift has been playing the vast majority of the snaps in the Eagles backfield this year, playing at least 54% of the snaps in each of his last seven games. During that span, he has averaged 20.5 touches and 100.4 rushing + receiving yards. He has found the end zone three times in the last five weeks and has averaged a healthy 4.6 receptions during that span to keep him consistent and give him a high ceiling.
This week, Swift gets a good matchup against the Cowboys run defense that has allowed five running back touchdowns in the past five weeks. Dallas has been especially susceptible to zone run plays, and that’s primarily the kind of play that Swift thrives on in the Philly offense.
This game has the highest point total of any matchup this week, and if the Eagles can put up points against Dallas, it could be because of a big game from Swift.
NFL DFS Wide Receiver Pick
Adam Thielen ($6,300) vs. Indianapolis Colts
The Panthers haven’t had a very dynamic offense this season, but they have had one player who continues to be very productive every week–Adam Thielen. Thielen has the third-highest ceiling, median, and floor projection all all wide receivers on OwnersBox this week, and he’s available for the sixth-highest salary. He’s projected for the second-highest Pts/Sal of all receivers with a salary over $5.5K in this matchup against the Colts.
Thielen has become the go-to option for rookie QB Bryce Young and has averaged 9.6 catches on 13.8 targets per game over his past five games. He has found the end zone three times during that span, had three games with double-digit catches, and had three games of over 100 yards. His steady stream of targets makes him a safe play at this price but also gives him plenty of big-play potential.
The Colts have been one of the top 10 best matchups for receivers this year, giving up seven wide receiver touchdowns in eight games and an average of 173.4 receiving yards per game to the position.
If you need a cheap receiver option, Demario Douglas stands out with the highest Pts/Sal in the receiver projections. He actually ranks third in Pts/Sal at all positions, behind only Jackson and Hurts. Wan’Dale Robinson, Zay Flowers, and Elijah Moore are also cheaper plays who are projected to outperform their salary-based expectations.
NFL DFS Tight End Pick
Jake Ferguson ($4,100) at Philadelphia Eagles
Ferguson has the highest Pts/Sal of all tight ends in the projections for OwnersBox this week. He is coming off a strong showing with four catches on four targets for 47 yards and a touchdown last week against the Rams.
Over the last five weeks, he has averaged 4.0 catches for 43.0 yards per game. He has also become very involved in short-yardage situations. On the season, he has four targets inside the five-yard line and 11 red zone targets, so he should keep getting plenty of chances to get into the end zone.
If the Eagles-Cowboys game turns into a high-scoring contest, Ferguson will need to be involved in the Dallas passing game to help take the pressure off of CeeDee Lamb. The Eagles gave up a tight end touchdown last week to the Commanders and have averaged 43.4 receiving yards allowed to the position on the season.
Other top tight end options in this week’s projections include David Njoku, Logan Thomas, and Trey McBride, who is coming off a breakout performance last week.
