OwnersBox is one of the unique DFS sites that still has traditional daily salary cap contests in addition to their Lightning Lineups contests.
In Lightning Lineups, the OwnersBox app will provide three sets of lineups for a given sport and slate, each lineup with three players. From there, users pick which lineup they think will score the most points. If you don’t like the options, you can spin for new lineups.
Spin. Pick. Win. OwnersBox innovative Lighting Lineups format is the most electric way to play daily fantasy sports.
Another reason to sign up with OwnersBox is their current Big Game Giveaway promotion. When you enter a lineup, you’ll earn “giveaway entries” for their Big Game drawing. What can you win? Two FRONT ROW tickets to Super Bowl LVIII + a VIP Fan Experience + Meet & Greets + Flights & Accommodations — over $40K in value!
Also, our OwnersBox promo code delivers new users a $500 sign-up offer. Their 100% deposit match up to $500 is by far the best among DFS sites.
Anyway, this article will focus on the more traditional salary cap DFS lineups that we’re all accustomed to. The best part about OwnersBox is their DFS product is a Superflex format with no defense.
I’ll be highlighting my favorite play at each position using our NFL projections inside our NFL Player Models.

NFL DFS Quarterback Pick
Matthew Stafford ($6,200) vs. Washington Commanders
Of the 20 starting quarterbacks on Week 15’s main Sunday afternoon slate, Matthew Stafford has the highest projected Pts/Sal. He is the only player on the entire slate with a Pts/Sal over 3.0, which is especially important with the OwnersBox Superflex format.
Stafford has the third-highest ceiling projection and the fifth-highest median projection of the quarterbacks in action, which is impressive since he has just the 10th-highest salary at $6,200. Stafford isn’t even the most expensive quarterback in his own game, even though our projections have him as a much better play than Sam Howell.
Stafford has averaged 255.2 passing yards in his 12 games this season while throwing 19 touchdowns. He has at least three touchdowns in each of the last three weeks, tossing a total of 10 touchdowns and just one interception over that span. He usually ends up with a big workload too, averaging 35.0 pass attempts per contest.
One of the keys to Stafford’s success has been a deep and productive group of wide receivers. With Puka Nacua’s breakthrough and Cooper Kupp’s return, Stafford has great options all over the field, especially now that Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell continue to hit for big plays as well. Tyler Higbee is a strong tight end option as well, and with Higbee out last week, rookie Davis Allen stepped up with a touchdown and 50 yards.
Of the 10 games on Sunday’s main slate, the Rams-Commanders matchup is tied with the Bills-Cowboys game for the highest over/under, according to our Vegas Dashboard. In that matchup, Stafford’s Rams have the second-highest implied team total on the slate as well.
Stafford has a great matchup against Washington’s defense, which has allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Opposing quarterbacks have averaged 278 passing yards per game and thrown for 30 touchdowns in 13 games. The matchup sets up perfectly for Stafford to keep rolling while battling to keep the Rams in the playoff race.

NFL DFS Running Back Pick
Ezekiel Elliott ($5,600) vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Stafford’s teammate Kyren Williams and the always-productive Christian McCaffrey sit atop the running back rankings in Pts/Sal, but just behind them is a great value option that costs much less but still brings good upside. Ezekiel Elliott is expected to get a second straight week as the focus of the Patriots’ backfield, with Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) sidelined at practice all week.
Elliott played 91% of the team’s snaps last week with Stevenson sidelined and had a very heavy workload. He only had 68 rushing yards on his 22 carries against the stout Steelers’ defense, but he made his fantasy day with seven catches for 72 yards and a touchdown. Elliott is no stranger to the end zone, but it was just his third touchdown of the season and his first receiving score since Week 16 of 2021.
As a receiver out of the backfield, Zeke now has multiple catches in five straight weeks and has totaled 18 catches during that span. He is a go-to option for Bailey Zappe and brings a high ceiling and a high floor as a result.
Hosting the Chiefs after their rough loss last week, no one is giving the Patriots much of a shot this week, but regardless of the score, Elliott should have a good chance to excel in the matchup. The Chiefs rank in the middle of the pack against running backs but allowed 86 yards rushing and 106 yards receiving to the Bills’ running backs last week and have given up an average of 91.4 rushing yards per week to running backs.
The Patriots will likely feed Zeke and look for him to turn back the clock again this week. He’ll be a great value option this week from his sub-$6,000 salary.
NFL DFS Wide Receiver Pick
Wan’Dale Robinson ($3,900) at New Orleans Saints
Wan’Dale Robinson just edges out more expensive plays of CeeDee Lamb, and DJ Moore to claim the highest Pts/Sal in our projections for wide receivers this week. Robinson is extremely affordable, under $4,000, and he leaves you plenty of salary to go searching for superstars in other roster spots.
The Giants’ second-year wide receiver hasn’t had the breakout some anticipated this season, but he has been solid lately. He has been limited by shaky quarterback play after getting a late start to the season following his recovery from ACL surgery. In his 11 games, he has 42 catches for 344 yards and a touchdown, but he’s trending the right way after the Giants offense showed significant signs of life last week in Monday night’s win over the Packers.
Robinson looked like the team’s true No. 1 option at receiver and had a team-high six catches for 79 yards in their win against Green Bay and also ran for 36 yards on two carries. The eight touches matched his season-high, and it showed that the Giants are committed to getting the ball into his hands. If he and Tommy DeVito can keep their momentum going, they should be a great value combo this week against the Saints.
New Orleans’ defense has been strong overall this year, but they have scuffled a bit the past few weeks while dealing with injuries. Opposing receivers have averaged 10.5 catches for 130 yards per game and scored eight touchdowns in 13 games.
As he continues to try to establish himself as the go-to option in the offense, Robinson brings big-play potential out of the slot. Since the Saints have been vulnerable to receivers from that position, he has a very high ceiling in this week’s matchup in the Big Easy.
NFL DFS Tight End Pick
Trey McBride ($4,700) vs. San Francisco 49ers
Last week in this spot, I highlighted David Njoku, who went off for a monster game with 91 yards and two scores against the Jaguars. It’s definitely an option to go back to the well this week since Njoku has the second-highest Pts/Sal at the position this week.
However, I’m going back to another regular recurring star in this spot–Cardinals’ breakout tight end Trey McBride. McBride brings the top Pts/Sal at the position coming off his bye week. He has a very solid floor since he consistently gets so much volume. In his last eight games, McBride has averaged 8.0 targets per game and converted them to 6.0 catches for 66.4 yards per game and a pair of touchdowns.
McBride has nine targets in three of his past four games and has at least seven catches for at least 60 yards in each of those games. He has shown a very strong connection with Kyler Murray since the star QB returned and is emerging as a top tight end. He has the fourth-highest salary at the position on OwnersBox but comes at a huge discount compared to Travis Kelce and George Kittle. McBride has the third-highest ceiling, median, and floor projection at the position behind just those two stars.
The 49ers defense doesn’t give up much to any position. Opposing tight ends have totaled at least 55 yards in three of the last four weeks, though, and Seahawks tight end Colby Parkinson found the end zone last week. McBride’s volume should be enough to give him a chance to overcome the matchup and deliver another good game this week for the Cardinals.
