Studs
Like most Chiefs’ games, they dominate the stud portion of this writeup. They’re coming off arguably their worst game in years, finishing with just three points vs. the Titans, but they’re still listed as 11-point favorites on Monday night. That gives them an implied team total of 31.5 points, while the Giants’ sits at just 20.5.
The Chiefs are led by Patrick Mahomes, who has had a mediocre season by his standards. He’s still averaged 299 passing yards per game with 18 touchdowns, but he leads the league with nine interceptions. He threw just 11 picks in the previous two seasons combined, so he’s been far less cautious with the football this year.
Still, those turnovers don’t hurt too much from a fantasy perspective. He’s averaged the fourth-most fantasy points per game among quarterbacks, and he posted a positive Plus/Minus in each of his first seven games. Last week’s clunker vs. the Titans stands out as a major outlier.
