NBA Trend of the Day: DraftKings Players With Seasonal PPG Below 15 and Monthly PPG Above 20

The NBA regular season is fast approaching its end, and some teams will handle the end of the season differently than others. Some teams are resting for the playoffs while others are trying to sneak in. Also, we can’t forget about the lottery hopefuls that could be attempting to move in the opposite direction. Players who are seeing a bigger role and/or more production are worth targeting as the season winds down. There are a few ways we could look at this, but the simplest way would be to look at their fantasy points per game. With that in mind, let’s dive into the trend.

Step 1: Fantasy Year Filters > Season PPG > “-1 to 15”

NBA-4-8-1

No surprise here as we see that players who average no higher than 15 DraftKings points per game on average perform 1.53 points below their salary-adjusted expectations.

Let’s see what happens when they have been averaging at least 20 points over the past month.

Step 2: Fantasy Month Filters > Month PPG > “20 to 51”

NBA-4-8-2

Now, we can see a much better showing in the Plus/Minus department. Let’s take a look at the finalized trend.

NBA-4-8-3

We are left with a count of 597, a Plus/Minus of +2.42, and Consistency of 58.2 percent. The count is fairly low, but the avg. Plus/Minus is nice and we have quite a few current matches for tonight.

NBA-4-8-4

Thomas Robinson, one of our matches for today, also leads the slate with a Projected Plus/Minus of +15.1. Out of curiosity, I ran a quick trend on players with a Projected Plus/Minus of at least +12 and it came out with a count of 279, Plus/Minus of +7.96, and Consistency of 70.2 percent. When you bump the Projected Plus/Minus filter up to at least 15, it has a count of 112, Plus/Minus of +10.01, and Consistency of 72.3 percent. I think you guys are picking up what I’m putting down: Robinson deserves plenty of cash game consideration today.

Have a good weekend!
