We truly believe here at FantasyLabs that we have the most unique tools and data available to DFS users. However, we also realize that those tools and data are only as awesome and helpful as our ability to effectively communicate how to use everything. As such, we will continually listen to feedback of what you need and try our best to teach our subscribers how to use all of the cool things we have to offer.
With this in mind, we’ve begun a “Trend of the Day” series. Every weekday we’ll walk our subscribers through an important trend for that day’s slate of games.
It’s stressed time and time again, but, alas, it’s worth reiterating: There’s even more reason to approach smaller-slates with a contrarian style, especially in tournaments, where I’m looking for any logical edge over a surplus field. With that in mind, let’s take a look at players that have put forth a positive effort over the last month.
Trend: Players with a Projected Plus/Minus of at least +1 & have logged 18-25 mins over the last month
Step 1: Stat Filters > Minutes > Set “18 to 25”
Step 2: Projections > Proj +/- > Set “1 to 17.19”
Step 3: Time Filters > NBA Season > Set “2015-16”
Step 4: Time Filters > Month > Set “February, March”
Our trend should now appear as so:
More notable are the results, as we can now filter players in this slate according to their Projected Plus/Minus:
While a few obvious choices are listed (Alen Len, anyone?), Brandon Bass’ recent surge is certainly one that stands out:
Just remember: contrarian to a logical extent. Good luck tonight!
