OwnersBox is one of the unique DFS sites that still has traditional daily salary cap contests in addition to their Lightning Lineups contests.
In Lightning Lineups, the OwnersBox app will provide three sets of lineups for a given sport and slate, each lineup with three players. From there, users pick which lineup they think will score the most points. If you don’t like the options, you can spin for new lineups.
Spin. Pick. Win. OwnersBox innovative Lighting Lineups format is the most electric way to play daily fantasy sports.
However, they also have a traditional DFS format, which will be the focus of this article.
For OwnersBox, you use four guards, four forwards/centers, and one Superflex.
Also, our OwnersBox promo code delivers new users a $500 sign-up offer. Their 100% deposit match of up to $500 is by far the best among DFS sites.
Let’s dive into some of the top plays on the slate using the FantasyLabs tools and projections.
Also, don’t forget that for large-field tournaments, you can utilize our Lineup Optimizer to effortlessly create up to 300 lineups or use our Lineup Builder if you like to hand-build your lineups.

NBA DFS Guard Picks
Dejounte Murray ($7,500) at Memphis Grizzlies
With Trae Young (finger) sidelined, Dejounte Murray has stepped into a larger role for the Hawks and has been a very productive fantasy player. On Friday, Murray and the Hawks have a good matchup in Memphis against the injury-depleted Grizzlies. Murray has the second-highest median, ceiling, and floor projection of all point guards, behind just Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but since his salary is $2,400 less than SGA’s, he represents better value in our projections.
Young’s injury occurred in the Hawks’ first game after the All-Star Break, and dating back to that contest, Murray has averaged 21.9 points, 8.6 assists, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 35.6 minutes per game over his last seven games. He had four double-doubles in those seven games and fell just one rebound or one assist short of two more double-doubles.
On the season, he has a 25.5% usage rate, but in the six games since Young has been sidelined, that has increased to 28.8%, while his assist percentage has also increased to 40.5%.
Of all the point guards on Friday’s slate, Murray has the best Opponents Plus/Minus. He should be in a great matchup to dominate this Friday with such high usage and his salary is definitely workable at $7,500.
Vasilije Micic ($3,400) at Washington Wizards
The Wizards have also been a great matchup to attack this season, and Vasilije Micic is a great bargain option at guard on Friday. Micic has an extremely low salary but has been playing a very involved role for the Hornets since he came over from the Thunder at the Trade Deadline. The 30-year-old rookie from Serbia was playing a very limited role with OKC but has stepped in as the starter for the Hornets. He brings the highest Pts/Sal of all guards on Friday’s slate on OwnersBox.
Micic has played 11 games with Charlotte, averaging 23.5 minutes per game, but he has played over 28 minutes in each of his three games in March. He averaged 15.3 points, 5.7 assists, and 20 steals in 30.9 minutes per game in those three contests, running the offense pretty effectively despite losses to the Sixers, Raptors, and Magic.
With so many minutes and such a low salary, Micic would be a relatively safe play in any matchup. In such a favorable matchup against the Wizards, he becomes almost a “must-play” at this salary if he continues to work in the starting five. With Tre Mann (groin) questionable, there could be even more work for Micic since the Hornets already ruled out LaMelo Ball (ankle), Seth Curry (ankle) and Cody Martin (ankle).

NBA DFS Forward/Center Picks
Rudy Gobert ($6,200) at Cleveland Cavaliers
With Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) on the shelf for the rest of the regular season, Rudy Gobert will carry more of the offensive workload for Minnesota. On Friday’s slate, he and the Wolves will face the Cavaliers in Cleveland to finish their back-to-back. Gobert has the third-highest ceiling projection of all forward/centers on OwnersBox but only the 16th-highest salary. He also has the third-highest Pts/Sal projection of all options with salaries over $4,500.
In the three games he has played without Towns this season, Gobert has averaged 17.3 points, 16.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. On Thursday against the Pacers, Anthony Edwards played the hero, but Gobert was also very strong with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks in 40 minutes. It was his 44th double-double of the season and fourth in a row.
While Cleveland is also dealing with important injuries, they still like to play big, so Gobert will have to log big minutes again on Friday. As long as he doesn’t make a surprise appearance on the injury report due to the back-to-back, he’s a great midrange play with a solid floor and an elite ceiling in this contest.
Saddiq Bey ($4,500) at Memphis Grizzlies
In addition to Trae Young’s injury in the backcourt, the Hawks are dealing with the absences of Jalen Johnson (ankle) and Onyeka Okongwu (toe) in the frontcourt. Saddiq Bey has risen to the challenge of taking on extra minutes and usage at forward alongside Murray and helped the Hawks pick up a pair of wins earlier this week. He should be a great value option at forward/center on Friday in Memphis as well. Bey has the third-highest Pts/Sal of all forward/centers on Friday’s slate and the highest of any option with a salary over $3,500.
Bey has scored double-digit points in 12 of his past 13 games, averaging 17.3 points in 34.3 minutes per game and adding 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game as well. He has scored at least 17 points in each of his last three games and has come close to a double-double in each of his last two contests. His workload has increased to over 34 minutes in each of those three games, and he played 41 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Cavs.
With so many absences for Atlanta, Bey will continue to get plenty of field goal attempts and opportunities to produce. In such a favorable matchup against the short-handed Grizzlies, he’s a great value option to include in your Friday night lineups on OwnersBox.
