NBA DFS Guard Picks
Dejounte Murray ($7,500) at Utah Jazz
With Trae Young (finger) sidelined, Dejounte Murray has been carrying the load for the Hawks, and this Friday, he leads them into a very fantasy-friendly matchup against the short-handed Jazz. The Hawks have the third-highest implied team total of the 12 teams on the board, and Murray has the highest median, ceiling, and floor projections of all guards, even though he doesn’t have the highest salary. He has the third-highest Pts/Sal of all guards, indicating that he actually represents good value even though he’s not a cheap play.
Murray has played 10 games since the All-Star Break, and Young’s injury occurred in the Hawks’ first game of that stretch. During that time, Murray has averaged an impressive 25.7 points, 8.0 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in 37.3 minutes per game. He scored 40 points against Portland on Wednesday in his most recent game and dropped 41 against the Grizzlies last Friday.
He’s carrying a huge workload right now for Atlanta, and in this matchup, he should produce another big stat line, making him a great option to build around once again.
Bruce Brown ($3,800) vs. Orlando Magic
Brown won the championship last year with the Nuggets and started the season as a key member of the upstart Pacers. He was sent to Toronto as part of the Pascal Siakam trade and is playing out the season with the Raptors. Toronto comes into their Friday night matchup dealing with multiple injuries, which should open up more work for Brown to be an excellent value. He has the second-highest Pts/Sal of all guards on the slate and ranks in the top five of all players in Pts/Sal.
Toronto already ruled out Scottie Barnes (hand), RJ Barrett (personal), Jakob Poeltl (hand), and Chris Boucher (knee) and listed Gary Trent Jr. (groin) as questionable. Brown dealt with some injury issues of his own but has played a huge role in his two games since returning.
He started and played 38 minutes against his former team, the Nuggets, on Monday, racking up 13 points and 10 rebounds for a nice double-double. He played 33 minutes against the Pistons on Wednesday and finished with 17 points, five assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block.
Brown does an excellent job filling in any gaps in the team’s rotation and contributing in multiple categories. He should be set up for another big workload against the Magic and is a great value option under $4,000 on OwnersBox.

NBA DFS Forward/Center Picks
Victor Wembanyama ($9,200) vs. Denver Nuggets
Victor Wembanyama goes head-to-head with Nikola Jokic in a matchup of the top two forward/centers on the board and two of the best big men in the NBA. Jokic is always a triple-double threat and brings an extremely high ceiling every time he’s on the floor, especially in a favorable matchup like this one.
Wemby offers a little salary relief compared to The Joker but still brings a sky-high upside. He played in both games in the Spurs’ back-to-back earlier this week and seems to be past the ankle injury that cost him two games earlier this month.
In each of his nine games since the All-Star Break, the rookie has posted a double-double with multiple blocks. In those contests, he averaged 21.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 4.6 blocks per game. He had 22 points, 11 boards, six steals and four blocks in his first matchup with Jokic this season, and he’ll look to put up another gigantic stat line against the former MVP on Friday.

Brice Sensabaugh ($3,100) vs. Atlanta Hawks
Sensabaugh has the highest Pts/Sal of all players on Friday’s slate. His projection of 7.6 Pts/Sal is almost a full point higher than Clint Capela’s 6.8 Pts/Sal, which is the second-highest among forward/centers.
The Jazz will continue to give Sensabaugh plenty of playing time since they are giving their young options an extended audition and playing for the future. Part of that is due to their spot six games out of the Play-In Tournament, and part of that is due to the team’s multiple injuries. Utah has already ruled out Jordan Clarkson (groin) and Lauri Markkanen (quad), while Taylor Hendricks (toe) is questionable.
Sensabaugh was the No. 28 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft but only played 12 minutes total before the All-Star Break. Since the break, though, Sensabaugh has played a much more expanded role. He has played over 20 minutes in four straight games and started each of the last three. While he struggled on Tuesday against the Celtics, he had 15 points and 12 rebounds against the Bulls last Wednesday and 16 points, three steals, three assists, and two rebounds against the Nuggets last Saturday.
With plenty of usage and good upside, Sensabaugh is a great value play to include in your Friday night lineups on OwnersBox to give you increased flexibility to spend at other spots.
