Stud
LaMelo Ball has always been an outstanding producer, but he’s struggled to stay healthy over the past few years. He was limited to just 22 games last season, and he played just 36 the year prior.
The good news is Ball is fully healthy for the time being. He’s responded with the best fantasy output of his career, averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.0 rebounds through his first 13 games. The result is an average of 1.53 DraftKings points per minute, which is the top mark among Tuesday’s point guards.
Ball has scored at least 53.75 DraftKings points in four of his past five games, and he’s in another great spot for production vs. the Nets. They’re 26th in defensive efficiency so far this season, and Ball has a position-best +4.52 Opponent Plus/Minus. Overall, he’s an outstanding pay-up option.
Value
On the other side of that matchup, Dennis Schroder is an appealing buy-low target for the Nets. His salary has gotten as high as $7,100 this season, but he’s down to just $6,100 vs. the Hornets.
Schroder’s production over his past few games hasn’t been great, but he’s still averaged 1.01 DraftKings points per minute for the year. He’s projected for 33 minutes in our NBA Models, and he’s averaged a Plus/Minus of +3.60 with a comparable salary as a member of the Nets (per the Trends tool).
Fast Break
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is putting together another incredible season after finishing as the MVP runner-up last year. He’s averaged 1.49 DraftKings points per minute, and he’s been even better without Chet Holmgren. He’s seen a +3.38% usage bump with Holmgren off the floor this season, resulting in an average of 1.57 DraftKings points per minute.
The Lakers have won five straight games, and no team is implied for more than their 123 points on Tuesday. They have an elite matchup vs. the Jazz, making Austin Reaves an intriguing option. He’s coming off a poor showing in his last contest, but he had posted a positive Plus/Minus in six of his prior seven games. He’s also projected for less than 10% ownership on this slate, giving him added appeal for GPPs.

NBA DFS Shooting Guard Picks
Stud
Shooting guard doesn’t stand out as the strongest position to pay up at on Tuesday. However, Brandon Miller is worth considering at $6,600. He benefits from the same elite matchup as Ball, giving him an Opponent Plus/Minus of +4.11.
Miller started the year playing reduced minutes, but he’s logged at least 33.4 minutes in each of his past five games. The bigger issue is that he just can’t buy a bucket. He’s shooting just 35.3% from the field and 30.6% from 3-point range, both of which are way down from his rookie season. Miller has still averaged better than a fantasy point per minute this season, and when his shot starts falling, he’s going to provide significant value at $6,600. We’ve already seen him go for 50+ DraftKings points once this season.
Value
Jordan Clarkson is starting to get rolling for the Jazz. He’s a proven scorer off the bench, and he’s averaged 18.0 points per game over his past seven contests.
With that kind of scoring upside, he doesn’t need to do much else to pay off his current salary. He’s currently projected for 30 minutes in our NBA Models, and he’s averaged 1.06 DraftKings points per minute for the year. He’s way too cheap at $5,200, resulting in a position-high Bargain Rating of 82%.
Fast Break
Cason Wallace hasn’t been a great producer this season, averaging just 0.69 DraftKings points per minute, but he’s projected for 28 minutes Tuesday vs. the Spurs. That’s a lot of potential volume at just $3,800. Historically, players with comparable salaries and minute projections have averaged a Plus/Minus of +3.16, and Wallace has scored at least 21.0 DraftKings points in two of his past three games.
Derrick White doesn’t bring a ton of upside to the table, but he’s a very steady producer. He’s posted a positive Plus/Minus in five of his past seven games, and he’s averaged 1.05 DraftKings points per minute for the year. The Celtics have a marquee matchup vs. the undefeated Cavaliers, so it’s a bit of a statement game for them as well.

NBA DFS Small Forward Picks
Stud
LeBron James continues to defy what is possible for a human body. He has gone through more grueling minutes than anyone in NBA history, yet in his 22nd professional season, he continues to produce at an elite level. He might not be quite as good as he was in his 20s, but he’s still averaging an outstanding 1.43 DraftKings points per minute for the year. He’s posted a positive Plus/Minus in seven of his past eight outings, and he’s scored at least 60.5 DraftKings points in three of his past five.
James stands out as one of the strongest stud plays on Tuesday’s slate. His matchup vs. the Jazz is elite, with Utah currently ranking 29th in defensive efficiency. He leads the entire slate in projected Plus/Minus, which is rare for a player at a $10,000 salary. Ultimately, the King stays the King.
Value
Lu Dort isn’t LeBron, but he’s been an equally good source of value recently. He’s posted a positive Plus/Minus in five straight games, and he’s scored more than 30 DraftKings points in three of them. He’s seen a big spike in production with Holmgren off the court, averaging 0.97 DraftKings points per minute, and he’s coming off nearly 36 minutes in his last outing.
That makes Dort a tremendous value at $4,800. His matchup vs. the Spurs is also much better than it looks on paper. The Spurs’ defense isn’t nearly as effective with Victor Wembanyama off the floor, and he’s officially doubtful vs. the Thunder.
Fast Break
Brandon Ingram is going to have to continue to do everything for the shorthanded Pelicans. They have more rotation players out of the lineup than anyone in basketball, and Zion Williamson, C.J. McCollum, Dejounte Murray, Jose Alvarado, Jordan Hawkins, and Herb Jones will all remain sidelined on Tuesday. Ingram has scored at least 53.25 DraftKings points in back-to-back games, and he posted a usage rate near 40% in his last outing.
Vince Williams was limited to just 13.8 minutes in his last contest, but he picked up four fouls. He’s expected to see closer to 20 minutes on Tuesday, making him a decent source of value at $3,900. Williams has averaged 0.94 DraftKings points per minute in limited action this season, so he’s capable of piling up fantasy points quickly.
NBA DFS Power Forward Picks
Stud
For one reason or another, Jayson Tatum never quite seems to get the love he deserves. He’s off to the best start of his career this season, averaging 29.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. The result is an average of 1.49 DraftKings points per minute, which is the third-best mark among Tuesday’s options.
Tatum also routinely plays as much as anyone in basketball. He’s projected for 37 minutes vs. the Cavaliers, and he’s played at least 35.4 minutes in six straight games. That’s a pretty scary combination. Tatum has responded with a positive Plus/Minus in five of his past seven outings, and he’s displayed a ceiling of more than 65 DraftKings points.
Tatum won’t garner as much ownership as some of the other studs on this slate, so he’s an interesting pivot for tournaments.
Value
Dorian Finney-Smith is inevitable. It doesn’t matter who he plays for; he ultimately finds a way to get on the court. He’s projected for 30 minutes in our NBA Models, making him a solid value at just $4,100. Players with comparable salaries and minute projections have historically averaged a Plus/Minus of +3.01, and Finney-Smith has scored at least 27.5 DraftKings points in back-to-back games.
Fast Break
With the Jazz dealing with some injuries in their frontcourt, John Collins has moved into a more prominent role. He’s logged at least 30.9 minutes in four straight games, and he’s always been an excellent per-minute producer. He’s averaged a stout 1.36 DraftKings points per minute this season, so he has some appeal at $6,900.
Jaren Jackson’s salary has finally reached the correct point after being underpriced for much of the past two weeks. However, he’s still capable of returning value at his current salary. He’s averaged 1.30 DraftKings points per minute, and his ceiling is as high as anyone’s at the position.
NBA DFS Center Picks
Stud
As good as LeBron has been, the Lakers are officially Anthony Davis’ team now. He leads the team with a 32.1% usage rate, which represents a massive increase from his 26.7% mark last season. As a result, he’s averaging a career-best 31.1 points per game.
Davis is also among the best in the league at pulling down rebounds and piling up the defensive stats. Add it all up, and he leads Tuesday’s players with an average of 1.58 DraftKings points per minute.
Davis should be able to feast on this matchup vs. the Jazz. He leads all centers with a +7.13 Opponent Plus/Minus, and his 11 Pro Trends are also tops at the position. Davis doesn’t grade out as quite as good of a value as LeBron due to his slightly higher price tag, but his ceiling is ultimately higher.
Value
Grant Williams continues to start at center for the Hornets, and he continues to get the job done for DFS players. He’s posted a positive Plus/Minus in five of his past six games, and he’s coming off 33.25 DraftKings points in 35.1 minutes on Sunday. He’s simply too cheap at $4,800, especially for a matchup vs. the Nets.
Fast Break
Jalen Williams is playing center for the Thunder following the injury to Holmgren, but it’s done little to quell his fantasy value. He’s scored at least 45.75 DraftKings points in three of his past four games, and he’s averaged 1.31 DraftKings points per minute for the year.
If you’re looking for a pure punt play, Jay Huff fits the description at $3,300. He’s not playing a ton for the Grizzlies, but he’s averaged 1.27 DraftKings points per minute. He should see a handful of minutes vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday.
