Point Guard
Stud
Luka Doncic ($10,800) is returning from a 10-game absence, so there could be a minutes restriction. That said, there’s no Kristaps Porzingis in this one, and in 386 minutes this season with KP off the court, Doncic has a 39% usage rate. Doncic averages 1.42 fantasy points per minute.
Value
Ty Jerome ($4,200) will likely get the start at point guard with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the league’s health and safety protocols. He averages 0.87 FP/min but should play over 30 minutes.
Fast Break
Caris LeVert ($9,200) will likely slide down to point guard since Malcolm Brogdon is out. TJ McConnell and Chris Duarte are also out, so LeVert will be the primary ball handler. In 165 minutes with those three off the court, LeVert has seen a 3.7% usage increase to 31.2%.
Shooting Guard
Stud
Devin Booker ($8,500) has gone for at least 40 DraftKings points in four of the last six games, with two over 50 and a high of 60.75. He’s playing over 35 minutes per game and garnering a usage rate over 30%. The Hornets are second in offensive pace and 28th in defensive efficiency. They also boost the FPPM to shooting guards by a league-leading 18.63%.
Value
Malik Monk ($4,900) has started the last four games and played 30, 32, 40, and 35 minutes. He’s produced 27, 22.75, 38, and 32 DraftKings points. Both teams are top five in offensive pace, so there should be plenty of possessions.
Fast Break
R.J. Hampton ($5,000) has been a key figure off the bench for the Magic. Over the last two games, he’s played 32 and 28 minutes, producing 26.75 and 24.75 DraftKings points. His usage rate has been 20% and 19%.
Small Forward
Stud
LeBron James ($12,000) has been on quite the tear recently. He’s gone for at least 60 DraftKings points in each of the last five games with at least 70 in the most recent three. His usage rate has been 39% and 46% in the past two games. With no Anthony Davis, he is truly putting the Lakers on his back and trying to get them into the playoffs by himself. The Lakers are first in offensive pace while the Timberwolves are fifth, so there should be plenty of opportunities for those fantasy goodies.
Value
Kenrich Williams ($3,900) doesn’t start, but in two of the last three games, he’s played 28 minutes and scored 23.25 and 22.5 DraftKings points. He’s not a high-usage player, but he does grab rebounds, dish out some assists, and rack up steals.
Fast Break
Justin Holiday ($4,500) is the furthest thing from being fantasy sexy. That said, he has started the last six games and produced at least 20 DraftKings points in four of those contests.
Power Forward
Stud
Jayson Tatum ($10,600) is still questionable, but it looks like he may return today. Keep an eye on the updates. He averages 1.26 FP/min and would be in a great matchup, as the Magic are ninth in pace and 27th in defensive efficiency,
Value
Jalen Smith ($5,000) will likely get the start at center since both Deandre Ayton and JaVale McGee are out. Over the last two games, he’s played 27 and 25 minutes, producing 29.75 and 35 DraftKings points.
Fast Break
Naz Reid ($5,000) will likely get another start at center for Karl-Anthony Towns. In the two previous starts, both against Utah, he played 15 and 36 minutes. He averages 1.06 FP/min and should see close to 30 minutes in this one, but there is some uncertainty.
Center
Stud
Robert Williams ($7,300) has double-doubled in five of the last six games and notched a triple-double in his most recent contest. He’s gone for at least 40 DraftKings points over that span with two over 50. Orlando plays fast and eschews defense, so fantasy goodies could be plentiful again.
Value
Damian Jones ($3,000) has been given a significant role recently due to all the injuries. Over the last four games, he’s played 27, 23, 22, and 19 minutes, producing 19.5, 14, 30, and 27.5 DraftKings points.
Fast Break
Omer Yurtseven ($6,500) will likely make his fourth straight start. In the prior three, he played 33, 33, and 30 minutes, producing 36.25, 36.5, and 38.25 DraftKings points. The Kings are third in pace and 25th in defensive efficiency.
