Point Guard
Stud
Ja Morant has been on an absolute tear recently, scoring a franchise-record 30 points in six straight and averaging 35.2 points, 7.7 assists and 7.5 rebounds in that span.
King Ja and the Grizzlies face the 76ers at Philadelphia, and Morant has averaged more points, assists and steals on the road than at home this season. Joel Embiid will rest and miss the game, so Morant could fare better in the paint as well. He’s an easy stud every single night, but he’s even better tonight in the midst of a blistering heater.
Value
Davion Mitchell has started each of the Kings’ last two games and posted some solid numbers in the process. Over his last two, the rookie has put up lines of 15/3/5 and 20/2/6 while playing at least 30 minutes in each. De’Aaron Fox is questionable again tonight due to his ankle injury, and if he’s ruled out, Mitchell is an easy value play at PG.
Fast Break
Sure, it’s not always going to work out to play Steph Curry given his up-and-down production. However, you have to take notice when his price dips all the way to $9,300. Chef Curry is priced $1,700 less on FanDuel than on DraftKings, and he should see plenty of exposure at that discounted rate.
Gabe Vincent has averaged 27 fantasy points across his last seven games (all starts), and Kyle Lowry (personal) is out again. Jimmy Butler has had three triple-doubles in that span, but Vincent (4.9 assists) could get a boost as a distributor tonight if Butler sits.
Jose Alvarado came through with a 19/4/2 line that included four steals Saturday, and he’s scored at least 34 fantasy points in two of his last three games.
Shooting Guard
Stud
Tyrese Haliburton went berserk Saturday with a career-high 38 points to go with seven dimes, three boards and three swipes in the Kings’ loss to the 76ers.
Over his last four, Hali has averaged 20.0 points, 8.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals, and he should be in for another strong performance if Fox is ruled out again due to his lingering ankle injury. Remember to stay up-to-date on the injury report leading up to tip-off.
Value
Gary Trent comes in as a tremendous value play after scoring at least 32 points in three straight games. He put up 16 triples and seven steals in that span, and the Raptors/Hawks game has a 220.5 over/under, one of the highest on the slate. Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet are the stars in Toronto, but Trent has been huge for the team over the last week and may go overlooked.
Fast Break
Josh Giddey has averaged 17.0 points, 10.0 assists and 9.0 rebounds in three games without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander this season. SGA will be out through at least the All-Star Break, and Giddey is still priced as a value option despite a huge bump in usage that’s undoubtedly coming his way.
Small Forward
Stud
Jayson Tatum has averaged a massive 36.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 5.5 triples and 1.0 steals over his last four games while scoring at least 36 points in three of them. Tatum has also topped 65 fantasy points in two of those contests, highlighting his incredible ceiling on any given night. He’ll face Miami tonight and benefit from a favorable Opponent Plus/Minus.
Value
Luguentz Dort has averaged 16.6 points, 4.0 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 triples and 1.0 steals in 26 career games without Gilgeous-Alexander in the lineup. He went off for 27/8/4/2 against Indiana on Friday and has scored at least 27 points seven times this season. Expect some big-time usage from Dort, as he’ll surely have the green light to shoot his shot.
Fast Break
Garrett Temple has averaged 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals over his last four games (all starts), good for 19.8 fantasy points with a high of 25.0 fantasy points in his last game out. If Brandon Ingram is out again, you could do much worse than a starter who’s likely to play 25-30 minutes.
Kenrich Williams is priced under $4,000 on both sites and should get a boost in value with Gilgeous-Alexander out and Oklahoma City’s rotation likely to tighten up. Kenny Hustle is projected for 24 minutes tonight and has a ceiling of over 30 fantasy points on both sites.
Power Forward
Stud
Pascal Siakam has lived up to his “Spicy P” moniker over the last month, as he’s been blistering. Siakam has averaged 22.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.9 steals over his last 17 games, with nine double-doubles to his credit. Overall, Siakam has topped 50 fantasy points on eight occasions, with a high of 67 in that span.
Tonight’s matchup with the Hawks is not one to fear, and Siakam should be able to continue his strong all-around play in the divisional tilt with Atlanta.
Value
Darius Bazley could see a big bump in production and playing time tonight with Gilgeous-Alexander out and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl sent to the G-League.
Bazley is just $4,300 on DraftKings and $4,700 on FanDuel with a strong Opponent Plus/Minus. In 15 games with at least 30 minutes, Baz averaged 11.4 points, 6.9 boards, 2.1 stocks and 1.7 assists.
Fast Break
With Goga Bitadze (foot) and Oshae Brissett (ankle) questionable, it could be time for a healthy dose of Isaiah Jackson. I-Jax has struggled mightily with fouls, but he’s capable of scoring quickly, rebounding effectively and blocking shots. He averaged 11.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 stocks over his last five while playing just 17.2 minutes per contest.
Center
Stud
Domantas Sabonis put on a clinic over the weekend, averaging 22.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals over Indiana’s back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday. Sabonis has double-doubled in five straight with two triple-doubles in that span. The Clippers have been a fantastic matchup for opposing big men this season, and Sabonis should feast once again.
Value
Andre Drummond will make his 12th start tonight and fifth at home with Joel Embiid (rest) out of action. Drummond’s numbers have been monstrous in four previous home starts with 12.3 points, 18.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.3 blocks, and 1.5 steals. Drummond is just $3,700 on DraftKings and $4,400 on FanDuel, so he’ll likely be a very chalky option.
Fast Break
Richaun Holmes is just $5,000 on DraftKings and $5,700 on FanDuel, making him a great play on both sites. Over his last five, he averaged 11.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks, good for 26.7 fantasy points. Holmes topped 30 fantasy points twice in that span. Holmes hasn’t posted a double-double since Dec. 1, but he’s doing enough to warrant a place in DFS lineups. He’s got a pace-down spot but excellent Opponent Plus/Minus tonight against the Knicks.
