Braves (-159) at Marlins (+146) — 7:10 PM EST
Braves in: Kurt Suzuki (left triceps contusion)
Kurt Suzuki missed three consecutive games due to a left triceps contusion, but he’ll bat fifth against the Marlins. The Braves’ implied team total has dropped to 4.2 runs after opening at 4.5, and the lineup has combined to post a mediocre .305 wOBA vs. left-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. The Braves do have some power in the middle of the lineup, as each of Johan Camargo, Freddie Freeman, Nick Markakis, Suzuki, and Adam Duvall have posted positive ISO splits vs. southpaws over the past calendar year. Any exposure to Suzuki should be focused on FanDuel, where his $2,300 price tag comes with a 99 percent Bargain Rating and six Pro Trends. Lefty Wei-Yin Chen will look to do a better job forcing hitters to keep the ball on the ground, as he’s allowed the third-highest fly-ball percentage over the last 15 days among all pitchers in Saturday’s main slate. Chen does boast a strong 7.1 K Prediction and has posted a +2.5 Plus/Minus on FanDuel during his past 10 starts. Both pitchers could benefit from estimated wind gusts of seven miles per hour blowing in from center field.
Cardinals (+143) at Rockies (-155) — 8:10 PM EST
Rockies in: David Dahl, Ryan McMahon
Rockies in: Matt Holliday, Ian Desmond
The Rockies will roll with Charlie Blackmon, DJ LeMahieu, and Carlos Gonzalez at the top of the order for their matchup against the Cardinals. They’re presently implied to score a slate-high 6.2 runs and boast a top-two Team Value Rating on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Overall, Blackmon, Gonzalez, Nolan Arenado, and Trevor Story form the highest-projected four-man stack on FanDuel. Gonzalez in particular is set up well, as he’s posted positive wOBA and ISO splits vs. right-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. His $3,900 salary on FanDuel comes with seven Pro Trends and a 90 percent Bargain Rating. Righty John Gant will have his hands full with a Rockies lineup that has combined to post a strong .333 wOBA vs. right-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. Both offenses could benefit from estimated wind gusts of nine miles per hour blowing out at Coors Field.
