Red Sox (-167) at Orioles (+154) — 7:05 PM EST
Red Sox in: Steve Pearce
Red Sox out: Mitch Moreland
Mitch Moreland will receive a routine day off, so Steve Pearce will start at first base and bat fifth for a Red Sox lineup presently implied to score an impressive 5.2 runs. Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, J.D. Martinez, Xander Bogaerts, and Rafael Devers form the main slate’s highest-rated five-man stack in combined ISO. Overall, the Red Sox lineup has combined to post a slate-high .344 wOBA vs. right-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. This is all bad news for righty Dylan Bundy, who has allowed at least five runs in three consecutive starts. Bundy has allowed slate-worst marks in average batted ball distance, exit velocity, and hard-hit rate over the past 15 days, and he’s one of just three pitchers that have allowed at least 1.6 home runs per nine innings pitched over the past calendar year. Exposure to the Red Sox should be focused on FanDuel, where seven of their nine batters have Bargain Ratings of at least 70 percent. Be sure to monitor the weather, as current forecasts call for an estimated 55 percent chance of precipitation.
Athletics (-120) at Rangers (+111) — 8:05 PM EST
Rangers in: Jurickson Profar, Joey Gallo (sprained left ankle)
Rangers out: Ronald Guzmán
Jurickson Profar will get the start at first base and bat fifth in place of Ronald Guzman, who will receive a day off. Joey Gallo will bat sixth and play through a sprained left ankle. The Rangers are currently implied to score 5.6 runs and boast slate-high Team Value Ratings on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Both offenses could benefit from a fairly ideal weather situation, as current forecasts call for the second-most hitter-friendly Weather Rating in Wednesday’s main slate. The Rangers offer upside throughout their lineup, as Rougned Odor, Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre, and Gallo form the main slate’s fifth-highest rated four-man stack on DraftKings in the Bales Model. Andrus is particularly in play on DraftKings, where his $3,800 price tag comes with an 81 percent Bargain Rating and five Pro Trends. Edwin Jackson will need to do a better job limiting big hits, as he ranks among the main slate’s bottom-three pitchers in average batted ball distance and fly-ball rate allowed over the past 12 months. Overall, Jackson has allowed a slate-high 1.95 home runs per nine innings pitched over the past calendar year.
