MLB DFS Pitching Picks

MLB DFS Stud Picks

Gerrit Cole ($10,700) New York Yankees (-120) vs. Texas Rangers

The clear pitching ace for the Bronx Bombers, Gerrit Cole continues his dominance this season with an 8-1 record and 2.64 ERA.

In four June starts, Cole has allowed just five total earned runs in 25.1 innings. He has a 27-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a 0.91 WHIP in that span.

Using PlateIQ, Cole has a high strikeout projection against the Rangers on Sunday, although he does face eight hitters with high wOBA and ISO numbers.

MLB DFS Value Picks

Eury Perez ($8,500) Miami Marlins (-175) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

This 20-year-old rookie hurler has taken the big leagues by storm to start his career. Through eight starts, Eury Perez is 4-1 with a 1.54 ERA.

He has an impressive 1.00 WHIP and allows a .265 wOBA.

His consistency has provided solid fantasy production. He has at least 17 DraftKings points in all but one start. His best two games have come in his last two outings, with 12 total shutout innings and 15 total strikeouts.

Vegas likes Perez to shutdown the Pirates on Sunday; Pittsburgh has one of the lowest implied totals on the slate.

MLB DFS GPP Picks

Tyler Glasnow ($8,900) Tampa Bay Rays (-275) vs. Kansas City Royals

This may be a surprise, but Tyler Glasnow is the highest-rated pitcher on the slate Sunday. After making his first start of the season on May 27, he has made five starts with a 2-1 record and 4.97 ERA.

The ERA is a little misleading, as Glasnow is coming off his worst outing of the year. He gave up six earned runs in 4.1 innings to the Orioles on June 20. He has not allowed more then three earned runs in any other start this season.

Glasnow has been in and out of the lineup throughout his career with injuries. He has a good matchup Sunday against the Royals, who land in the bottom third of MLB in batting and team strikeout rate.

MLB DFS Hitters and Stacks

Notable Stack

With the Lineup Builder, it’s easy to incorporate stacks into DFS rosters.

Also, don’t forget that for large-field tournaments, you can use our Lineup Optimizer to effortlessly create up to 300 lineups.

The top DraftKings stack in the FantasyLabs MLB Model when generated by projected points belongs to the Atlanta Braves:

The Braves continue as a favorite top stack in the Sunday’s model. Ronald Acuna Jr. remains near the league leaders in most offensive categories with his .328/.403/.558 batting line and National League-leading 34 stolen bases.

Matt Olson is creeping up the salary chart and now sits just behind Acuna. Olson has eight straight games with 14 or more DraftKings points and has six home runs and 12 RBIs in that span.

Austin Riley, Ozzie Albies, and Sean Murphy round out this five-man stack and are separated by just $200 in salary.

Using PlateIQ, Muphy has the highest ISO and wOBA of the three.

The Braves have a plus matchup against Reds rookie Levi Stoudt, who is making his third Major League appearance. Stoudt is 0-1 with a 10.29 ERA in seven big-league innings.

Other MLB DFS Hitter Picks

One of the great features of being a FantasyLabs Pro member is the option to purchase additional items in the FantasyLabs Marketplace.

A new addition to our MLB projections is THE BAT X from Derek Carty of RotoGrinders. With this purchase, you can use his projections alone or create aggregate projections within our Player Models.

For this example, we created a 50/50 blend with THE BAT X and the FantasyLabs projections to pinpoint some hitters who stand out.

George Springer OF ($5,300 DraftKings, $3,300 FanDuel) Toronto Blue Jays vs. Oakland Athletics (Luis Medina)

The highest-rated hitter on the slate that isn’t an Atlanta Brave, George Springer is batting .261/.326/.398 on the season.

Although he hasn’t shown his high ceiling potential so far in June, with no DraftKings performances of 20+ points, he has been a consistent fantasy producer with 11 double-digit scoring games this month.

Springer excels against right-handed pitching, with eight of his 10 home runs coming against righties. He faces a right-hander on the mound Sunday in Luis Medina of the Athletics. Medina is 1-6 with a 7.01 ERA.

TJ Friedl OF ($4,400 DraftKings, $3,000 FanDuel) Cincinnati Reds vs. Atlanta Braves (Charlie Morton)

One of the hottest hitters in the league, TJ Friedl is batting .314/.378/.473 on the season. His .368 wOBA is well above his career average.

Friedl has a +2.79 Plus/Minus over the last 10 games. He put up 27 DraftKings points on June 20 with a 4-for-5 performance against Colorado.

The Reds face veteran right-hander Charlie Morton, who has a 6-6 record and 3.71 ERA. He has allowed at least three runs in three of his last four starts.

You can also target Morton by taking the under on his strikeout prop on PrizePicks. Be sure to check out all the pick’ems PrizePicks has to offer with PrizePicks promo code LABS for a $100 deposit match.

Trea Turner SS ($5,700 DraftKings, $3,300 FanDuel) Philadelphia Phillies vs New York Mets (Carlos Carrasco)

Few hitters have the ceiling potential of Trea Turner. The NC State product has three games with 20+ DraftKings points thus far in June, including a 38-point explosion June 5 against the Tigers.

This season has been a somewhat down year for Turner, who is batting .244/.298/.375 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs. that .244 mark is nearly 50 points below his career batting average.

With his elite potential, Turner is an interesting value option Sunday against Carlos Carrasco and the Mets. Carrasco is 2-3 with a 6.34 ERA on the year.
