Fantasy Football QB Report: Stream Dak Prescott, More Week 11 Starts

Dak-Prescott

Which quarterbacks have the most favorable fantasy matchups? Who is the best streaming option? And who has a poor matchup?

Here’s a breakdown of five notable quarterbacks featured in Sean Koerner, Chris Raybon and Matthew Freedman’s Week 11 fantasy football rankings.

The No. 1 QB

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes has been the most efficient quarterback this season, averaging 0.72 fantasy points per dropback.

Matchups aren’t relevant for the high-octane Chiefs offense, though it should be fun watching Mahomes evade Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh. It’s hard to imagine this Chiefs-Rams matchup not living up to the hype with its historically-high 63.5 over/under and a spread of only 3.5 points as of writing (see live odds here).

The Chiefs are implied for 30.5 points, the third-highest total of the week.

The Most Favorable Matchups

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

Once again, the Rams have an implied team total that exceeds 30 points in a game with an absurd total. Their 33.0 implied total leads the slate for Week 11 against a Chiefs defense that’s allowing 289.0 passing yards per game.

Although the Chiefs welcomed pass-rusher Justin Houston (hamstring) back last week, Goff has the benefit of throwing behind one of the league’s best offensive lines. He’s been pressured on only 29.8% of his dropbacks this season, per Pro Football Focus.

Freedman, Koerner and Raybon all have Goff ranked inside the top four.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

The Eagles defense has been brutalized by injuries this season and just put Ronald Darby (torn ACL), PFF’s No. 29 cornerback, on Injured Reserve. Philadelphia’s secondary should provide little resistance to Brees at the Superdome.

Overall, the Saints boast one of the highest implied totals on the slate at 31 points, and Brees carries an average rank of 3.0 among our rankers.

Matchup Downgrade

Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

Bears cornerbacks Bryce Callahan (third), Kyle Fuller (fourth) and Prince Amukamara (17th) all rank favorably in PFF grades, but aside from Cousins’ receivers having tough matchups, the Vikings’ offensive line will be severely outmatched against the Bears’ pass rush.

Per Sports Info Solutions, the Bears defense ranks fourth in sacks per game (3.33), seventh in sack rate (8.82%) and eighth in pressure rate (32.94%). Further, Cousins has been pressured on 40% of his dropbacks this season. The mismatch in the trenches could prove troublesome for him in Chicago.

Cousins boasts an average rank of 15.0 among our rankers.

The Best Streamer

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Dak has been a serviceable fantasy quarterback over the past five weeks, averaging 0.58 fantasy points per dropback, which is a top 10 mark in the league over that span. His rushing ability adds to his floor as his 48 rushing attempts and three rushing touchdowns rank inside the top three among quarterbacks, per Sports Info Solutions.

Now he gets a favorable draw against a Falcons team that’s surrendering 23.7 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
