How to bet on Tuesday’s MLB slate
Use FanDuel’s boost for a Twins-Cardinals parlay
With the MLB season officially in full swing, it’s a great time to get in on the action and take advantage of some money-making opportunities. There’s a full slate of good games tonight, but there are two that I’m particularly interested in when it comes to betting value.
The first game I want to look at is a battle between two NL heavyweights: The St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves. This series started on Monday evening and the Braves got off to a hot start, hitting three home runs in the first two innings. That put the Cardinals in too deep of a hole to come back from. They lost 8-4.
Tonight should be different. With Steven Matz on the mound for St. Louis, the Cardinals’ defense should be able to hold the Braves’ bats in check. That will leave the door wide open for St. Louis’ prolific offense to put Atlanta away and tie the series at one game apiece. Throw the St. Louis moneyline into the parlay.
The second game to look at features one of only two undefeated teams remaining in the MLB, the Minnesota Twins, who are in Miami to take on the Marlins.
On the surface, this one feels simple: The Twins are undefeated and the Marlins are… bad. But, things aren’t as simple as that. The Marlins are slated to have Sandy Alcantara on the mound, and Alcantara is arguably the best pitcher in all of baseball. He’s absurdly good. Still, I don’t think the Marlins offense will be able to do any damage on Kenta Maeda and the Twins’ defense, so I like the Twins to come away with a win in a low-scoring contest and keep their undefeated streak alive.
If you parlay the Cardinals’ moneyline and Twins’ moneyline on FanDuel Sportsbook, you’ll get +287 odds. That’s really good value when backing two of the best teams in the league.
