Point Guard
Stud
Kyle Lowry has been a stud producer in the past, but his production has dipped a bit recently. However, he’s still playing a ton of minutes for the Heat, logging at least 36.4 in back-to-back games. He’s averaged 1.00 DraftKings points per minute this season, which should be more than enough to pay off his reduced price tag.
There’s also a chance that the Heat will be shorthanded on Tuesday. Tyler Herro has already been ruled out, while Jimmy Butler is questionable. If Butler is forced to join Herro on the sidelines, Lowry would be looking at a sizable boost in value. He’s increased his production to 1.07 DraftKings points per minute with both players off the floor.
Lowry also stands out as an elite value on FanDuel, where his $5,900 salary comes with a Bargain Rating of 89%.
Value
Patrick Beverley recently signed a contract extension with the Timberwolves, and he has rewarded fantasy players with strong production all season. He’s averaged 1.00 DraftKings points per minute, which is an excellent mark considering his $5,000 price tag. He’s also racked up at least 29.7 minutes in back-to-back games.
Beverley is also in one of the best spots of the day vs. the Hornets. The Hornets and Timberwolves have both played extremely fast of late, and neither team is imposing defensively. The total on this game currently sits at 244.0, which is one of the highest marks we’ve seen all year. The Timberwolves are six-point home favorites, giving them a massive 125-point implied team total.
Fast Break
Darius Garland returned to the Cavaliers lineup in their last game, and he posted a massive 42.0% usage rate. However, his salary is approximately -$1,000 cheaper than it was before he was injured. That makes him a nice buy-low option vs. the Hawks. He leads the position with an Opponent Plus/Minus of +2.27.
D’Angelo Russell is another potential option for the Timberwolves, especially on DraftKings. He’s priced at $7,300, resulting in a Bargain Rating of 79%. Russell has also increased his production to 1.23 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, which is the sixth-highest mark at the position.
Shooting Guard
Stud
Tyrese Haliburton has been tremendous since being acquired by the Pacers. He erupted for 22 points, 16 assists, and five rebounds in his last game, resulting in 57.25 DraftKings points. He remains underpriced on DraftKings, where his $8,500 salary comes with a Bargain Rating of 75%.
The big thing to monitor here is the status of Malcolm Brogdon. He’s been questionable for basically the past month, and he’s questionable once again on Tuesday. However, he hasn’t been in the lineup since Jan. 19. With the All-Star break right around the corner, it doesn’t make much sense to bring him back now. As long as he’s out of the lineup again, the coast is clear for Haliburton to serve as the Pacers’ top offensive option.
Value
Desmond Bane stands out as one of the best values of the day on FanDuel. He’s priced at just $6,300, giving him a position-high Bargain Rating of 91%. Bane has also played extremely well of late. He’s increased his production to 1.07 FanDuel points per minute over the past month, and he racked up 45.3 FanDuel points in his last outing. Bane also owns a solid matchup vs. the Pelicans, and the Grizzlies’ implied team total of 116.5 ranks fifth on the slate.
Fast Break
The Hornets have been playing a tight rotation of late, which has given Terry Rozier a major boost in value. He’s logged at least 36.5 minutes in eight of his past nine games, and he’s averaged 38.5 minutes over that time frame. He’s erupted for 61.5 FanDuel points in back-to-back contests, so he remains a viable option at his current price tag across the industry.
The Clippers are another team that could provide value on Tuesday. They’ve already ruled out Norman Powell, while Luke Kennard is questionable after missing their last game. That opens up some additional playing time on the wing. Amir Coffey is someone who could see a few additional minutes, and he’s dirt cheap at just $3,600 on DraftKings and $3,800 on FanDuel. Coffey was able to provide excellent value with extended minutes earlier this year.
Small Forward
Stud
Giannis Antetokounmpo got the night off on Monday, but he’s probable to return to the lineup vs. the Pacers. It’s a fantastic spot for Giannis, with the Bucks currently implied for 123.25 points. However, there is significant blowout potential in this contest. The Bucks are listed as 12.5-point favorites, which could result in reduced minutes for Giannis.
A lack of minutes has been the only thing that has stopped him recently. He’s averaged 1.81 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, and he’s scored at least 75.75 DraftKings points the last two times he’s played more than 30.8 minutes. If this game stays competitive, Giannis can easily finish as the top fantasy scorer on this slate.
Value
Born Ready is officially back. Lance Stephenson is playing big minutes for the shorthanded Pacers at the moment, and he’s currently projected for 33 minutes in our NBA Models. Stephenson has averaged 1.06 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, so he can do some serious damage with that much playing time.
Value
Brandon Ingram has seen a reduction in value following the trade deadline, with C.J. McCollum taking over as the team’s top scoring option. That’s caused Ingram’s price tag to plummet to $7,800 on FanDuel, resulting in a Bargain Rating of 87%. He’s an interesting buy-low option at that price tag. He managed 42.2 FanDuel points over 28.8 minutes in his last outing, so he clearly still has the potential to pay off his current salary.
Max Strus is another member of the Heat who could see a boost in value on Tuesday. He would be a candidate to enter the starting lineup if Butler is ruled out, which would make him an appealing value at $3,400.
Power Forward
Stud
The stud options at power forward are uninspiring outside of Giannis. However, Evan Mobley stands out if you’re looking for a midrange option. He’s been priced down to $6,500 on DraftKings, and that’s a strong price tag for him. He’s averaged 0.96 DraftKings points per minute this season, and he’s currently projected for 33 minutes in our NBA Models.
Value
Jalen Smith was acquired by the Pacers before the deadline, which gives him a much clearer path to returning value. Instead of having to compete for minutes with Deandre Ayton, JaVale McGee, and Bismack Biyombo, he only has to compete with Goga Bitadze. Smith logged 23.2 minutes in his last outing, and he responded with 36.0 DraftKings points. As long as he’s going to continue to see that much playing time, he’s a steal at $3,900.
Fast Break
Sticking with the Pacers, Oshae Brissett is another player who has seen a significant boost in value for the Pacers. He’s logged at least 36.8 minutes in back-to-back games, and he’s responded with at least 42.75 DraftKings points in both contests. He’s been priced up a bit across the industry, but he still has the ability to pay off his current salary.
Jaxson Hayes is worth some consideration on FanDuel, where his $3,700 price tag comes with a Bargain Rating of 96%. He’s been a strong per-minute producer this season, averaging 0.98 FanDuel points per minute, and he should see around 20 minutes on Thursday.
Center
Stud
Joel Embiid checked in with just five percent ownership across DraftKings tournaments in his last game, and those who took a shot on him were rewarded. He erupted for 83.0 DraftKings points thanks to a 40-point triple-double.
I wouldn’t expect another 80 points on Tuesday, but it’s definitely possible. He figures to command an expanded usage rate until James Harden is able to suit up. The 76ers shipped Seth Curry and Andre Drummond to the Nets, and both absences are a plus for Embiid. Embiid has seen a team-high +4.5% usage bump with Curry off the floor, and the absence of Drummond leaves the team without their typical backup center.
Value
The Hawks were without John Collins in their last game, and he’s going to be out of the lineup again on Tuesday. That allowed Clint Capela to rack up 31.4 minutes, which makes him very appealing at his current salary. He’s averaged a stout 1.16 DraftKings points per minute this season, so he’s very appealing given an expanded workload.
Fast Break
Jonas Valanciunas leads the position with 10 Pro Trends on FanDuel, and he’s been priced down to just $6,700. It results in a Bargain Rating of 94%, and Valanciunas has averaged a Plus/Minus of +7.38 with a comparable salary as a member of the Pelicans (per the Trends tool).
