Point Guard
Stud
Luka Doncic missed the Mavericks’ last game, and he’s officially probable for Tuesday’s matchup vs. the Nets. However, he was able to practice on Monday, so he appears to be on track to suit up.
As long as he’s in the lineup, he’s going to be worth heavy consideration on FanDuel. His $10,300 salary comes with a Bargain Rating of 91%, and Doncic has increased his production to 1.47 FanDuel points per minute over the past month. He’s also historically averaged a Plus/Minus of +3.06 with a comparable price tag (per the Trends tool).
Value
Jalen Brunson has been an elite option this season when Doncic has sat, but he deserves consideration even if Doncic is active Tuesday. He’s averaged 0.96 FanDuel points per minute this season, and he should still see a solid handful of minutes even with the team at full strength. He also owns a solid matchup vs. the Nets, resulting in an Opponent Plus/Minus of +1.99.
Doncic also isn’t the only injury that Mavs are dealing with at the moment. Tim Hardaway Jr. is also probable, and Brunson would get a solid bump if either player is ruled out.
Fast Break
Derrick White stands out as one of the best pure values at the position on DraftKings given his Bargain Rating of 97%. He’s been a nice source of value recently, posting a positive Plus/Minus in four of his past five games, and he’s averaged a strong 0.94 DraftKings points per minute over the past month. He’s currently projected for 33 minutes in our NBA Models, which should be enough time for him to pay off his price tag.
Sticking with the Spurs, Dejounte Murray continues to produce at an elite level this season. His price tag continues to rise, but he’s still posted an average Plus/Minus of +5.85 over his past 10 games on FanDuel. He also leads the position with 11 Pro Trends.
Shooting Guard
Stud
Alec Burks has taken over as the Knicks’ starting point guard, and he’s done an excellent job in that role. He was limited to just 18.2 FanDuel points in his last outing, but he played just 27.5 minutes in a blowout loss. He had played at least 39.1 minutes in each of his previous three contests, and he scored at least 33.9 FanDuel points in each of those games. His price tag has decreased by -$400 on FanDuel for tonight’s matchup vs. the Spurs, making him a nice buy-low option.
Value
Dennis Schroder remains one of the best pure values on FanDuel. He’s priced at just $5,200, resulting in a Bargain Rating of 96%, and he’s coming off a massive 49.8 FanDuel point performance in his last game. That came with Jaylen Brown out of the lineup, and Brown is questionable once again on Tuesday. Schroder would be an elite option if Brown is ruled out, but he should provide some value even with Brown active. He’s averaged 0.90 FanDuel points per minute this season, and he should see at least 30 minutes even if he comes off the bench.
Fast Break
Marcus Smart also has some appeal for the Celtics, and he owns arguably the better individual matchup. He owns an Opponent Plus/Minus of +4.36 on FanDuel, which is the top mark at the position.
Malik Monk has become an important part of the Lakers’ rotation. He’s logged at least 29.1 minutes in five of his past six games, and he’s scored at least 29.5 DraftKings points in each of them. He’s projected for a similar workload on Tuesday, and Monk has averaged 0.84 DraftKings points per minute over the past month. His $4,400 salary on DraftKings also results in a Bargain Rating of 94%, making him one of the better pure values at the position.
Small Forward
Stud
Small forward is loaded with top-end talent for a three-game slate, but Kevin Durant stands out as the best of the bunch. He’s averaged 1.31 FanDuel points per minute this season – the top mark at the position – and no one is projected for more than his 38 minutes. He also owns a solid matchup vs. the Mavericks, and the Nets’ implied team total of 111.25 is tied for the top mark on the slate.
Value
Keldon Johnson could provide a bit of additional value Tuesday. The Spurs have been without Devin Vassell recently, and his status for tonight has yet to be determined. If he’s out, Johnson should see a few additional minutes on the wing.
Johnson has been a decent fantasy producer this season, averaging 0.86 FanDuel points per minute. He leads the position with 10 Pro Trends on FanDuel, where his $5,400 salary comes with a Bargain Rating of 83%.
Fast Break
Reggie Bullock has played at least 27 minutes in back-to-back games, and he’s projected for a similar workload on Tuesday. He’s priced at just $3,100 on DraftKings, and players with comparable salaries and minute projections have historically averaged a Plus/Minus of +3.98. Bullock has averaged a dreadful 0.47 DraftKings points per minute this season, but he’s shot a dreadful 27.5% from 3-point range. He shot 41.0% from downtown last year, so he has room for improvement moving forward.
LeBron James is almost always in play, especially on a three-game slate. He’s been as busy as ever this season, logged at least 36.3 minutes in each of his past four games. He’s scored at least 50.75 DraftKings points in each of those contests, and the Lakers’ implied team total is tied with the Nets for the top mark on the slate.
Power Forward
Stud
Jayson Tatum has seen a pretty sizable price decrease recently on DraftKings. He was priced as high as $10,300 last week, but he’s down to just $9,400 for tonight’s matchup vs. the Lakers. Despite the price reduction, Tatum has been on a tear recently. He’s increased his fantasy production to 1.32 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, which is a better mark than Durant. He’s scored at least 52.0 DraftKings points in three straight games, and he would be worth heavy stud consideration if Brown is ruled out once again.
Value
James Johnson has gotten some run for the Nets recently, and he’s always an appealing target when he’s going to get minutes. He’s historically been a strong per-minute producer, and he’s averaged 0.82 DraftKings points per minute over the past month. He’s currently projected for 24 minutes in our NBA Models, and Johnson has historically averaged a Plus/Minus of +1.98 with a comparable salary and minute projection.
Fast Break
Al Horford will play today for the Celtics, and he has some appeal at his current price tag across the industry. He’s averaged 1.17 DraftKings points per minute this season, and he’s coming off 47.0 DraftKings points in his last outing.
Kristaps Porzingis is a very interesting tournament option on DraftKings. He’s priced at $7,600, resulting in a Bargain Rating of 88%, and Porzingis has averaged 1.30 DraftKings points per minute over the past month. There’s a chance that he’s limited in his first game back following a two-game absence, but that uncertainty will likely lead to reduced ownership. That makes him a high-risk, high-reward option.
Center
Stud
Anthony Davis has dual eligibility at center and power forward, and he’s definitely in play on a three-game slate. He’s been the Lakers’ best fantasy producer on a per-minute basis this season, averaging 1.39 FanDuel points per minute. He also owns a solid matchup vs. the Lakers, resulting in an Opponent Plus/Minus of +1.47, and his $10,000 salary on FanDuel comes with a Bargain Rating of 83%.
Value
Dwight Howard isn’t the same stud option that he was in his prime, but he’s transformed into an outstanding role player. He’s averaged 1.06 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, and he’s currently projected for 20 minutes in our NBA Models. Howard is underpriced at just $3,800 on DraftKings, and his Bargain Rating of 96% is the top mark at the position.
Fast Break
Jakob Poeltl has been a steady fantasy producer of late. He’s posted a positive Plus/Minus in five of his past six games, and he’s scored at least 29.0 DraftKings points in all six contests. He’s averaged 1.07 DraftKings points per minute this season, and he’s underpriced across the industry.
Enes Freedom – nè Enes Kanter – is one of the best centers in the game on a per-minute basis, and his playing time is on the rise. He’s logged at least 17.1 minutes in four of his past five games, and he’s averaged 1.10 FanDuel points per minute over the past month. He’s underpriced at just $3,800 on FanDuel, and he owns an Opponent Plus/Minus of +3.31 vs. the Lakers.
