Week 9 NFL DFS Stacks and Picks

Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb + Jake Ferguson + A.J. Brown

  • Dak Prescott ($6,500 DraftKings, $8,200 FanDuel)
  • CeeDee Lamb ($8,200 DraftKings, $8,800 FanDuel)
  • Jake Ferguson ($4,000 DraftKings, $5,100 FanDuel)
  • A.J. Brown ($8,600 DraftKings, $9,000 FanDuel)

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys lit up the Rams last week. Prescott threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns, totaling 32.06 DraftKings points.

This is the most appealing game on the slate, and Philadelphia has been vulnerable through the air. They’ve given up the fifth-most DraftKings points to opposing quarterbacks on the year, and Prescott put up 28 fantasy points in his lone matchup with them last season.

CeeDee Lamb ran wild on Philadelphia last year with Prescott under center, catching ten of eleven targets for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Dallas tends to lean on Lamb more in spots where they know they need to be aggressive, and this would be one of those. It’s not always the matchup but usually the game environment that acts as the catalyst for Lamb’s fantasy production. With Dallas likely opting to play aggressively, I think Lamb is in for a big day.

Jake Ferguson‘s role has steadily climbed all year, much to my liking. He ran a route on 85% of the dropbacks last week, seeing 12% of the team targets. He caught four balls for 47 yards and a touchdown. Philadelphia has been vulnerable against tight ends, as they’ve given up the ninth-most DraftKings points to opposing tight ends on the year.

Ferguson is also seeing a whopping 35% target rate per route run in the end zone, making him a prime stacking partner for Prescott.

A.J. Brown has averaged 30.02 DraftKings points over the past six games and has been shredding man coverage.

Dallas plays man coverage at the third-highest rate in the league, and Brown has seen a 50% target share and averaged 4.34 yards per route run. This game has the best chance of being a shootout, and there’s no reason Brown shouldn’t have success against this Dallas secondary.

This stack is expensive, but there are plenty of value options on this slate to be able to fit it.

Lamar Jackson + Zay Flowers and/or Mark Andrews

  • Lamar Jackson ($8,200 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel)
  • Zay Flowers ($5,700 DraftKings, $6,100 FanDuel)
  • Mark Andrews ($6,800 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel)

Lamar Jackson checks in as one of the top quarterback options on the slate in a good game environment.

This Seattle defense appears like a difficult matchup, but they’ve played a pretty poor slate of opposing quarterbacks. Three of their last four games have come against P.J. Walker, Josh Dobbs, and Daniel Jones.

They’ve allowed the seventh-most rushing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks, setting Jackson up for success with his legs. His potential success on the ground makes it not necessary to stack him, but you likely want to include at least one of Zay Flowers or Mark Andrews in your lineups with Jackson.

Flowers ran a route on 94% of the dropbacks and saw a 27% target share. A lot of his usage came on screens which isn’t too exciting, as those aren’t very high-value touches. He now gets a matchup with a Seattle defense that is trending the wrong way against receivers. They’ve allowed the eighth-most yards per target and yards per catch to opposing receivers.

They’ve also allowed a hefty amount of receptions to slot receivers, where Flowers runs about a third of his routes.

Mark Andrews gives you upside and the ability to separate at the tight end position. He’s caught three touchdowns over the past two games and is a prime stacking partner for Jackson. The matchup is fine, with Seattle allowing the eleventh-most yards per target to opposing tight ends.

You can plug in a Seattle piece as a runback if you choose, but DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are both currently questionable. I’d monitor the status of both ahead of game time.
