Week 7 NFL DFS Stacks and Picks

Jalen Hurts + A.J. Brown + Terry McLaurin

  • Jalen Hurts ($8,200 DraftKings, $9,200 FanDuel)
  • A.J. Brown ($8,000 DraftKings, $8,700 FanDuel)
  • Terry McLaurin ($5,300 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel)

Jalen Hurts continued his tremendous start to the year last week with his sixth straight game over 20 DraftKings points. The tush push has been massive for Hurts’ fantasy output, as he has six rushing touchdowns on the year.

He now gets a matchup against Washington, who he doused for 27.16 DraftKings points back in Week 4. I’m particularly interested in Hurts because he provides a massive ceiling at fairly low ownership this week. Especially with people likely paying down at quarterback, paying up for Hurts gives you a ceiling that Darnold doesn’t have and naturally makes your roster construction different.

A.J. Brown continued his hot streak on Sunday night, catching 10 of 15 targets for 137 yards and a touchdown. He now gets a matchup with a Washington defense that he emasculated a few weeks ago, hauling in nine of 13 targets for 175 yards and two touchdowns.

Washington’s struggles with Brown were fitting, as boundary receivers have trounced them all year long. They’ve allowed the most yards per target to perimeter receivers. Stefon Diggs and Drake London both eclipsed 100 yards against them, and it wasn’t too long ago when DJ Moore posted 230 yards and two touchdowns on a Thursday night.

Buying low on players is a common theme of DFS, and it feels like Terry McLaurin‘s price can’t get any lower. He had a solid performance when these teams matched up in Week 4, catching eight of 10 targets for 86 yards and falling on a fumble in the end zone en route to 22.6 DraftKings points.

Philly is susceptible on the outside, and McLaurin makes for a perfect bring-back option at a reasonable price.

Alvin Kamara + Josh Downs

  • Alvin Kamara ($7,300 DraftKings, $8,300 FanDuel)
  • Josh Downs ($4,800 DraftKings, $6,100 FanDuel)

This is a bit more unorthodox than usual, but stay with me. The reports that Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller will have more of a role are worrisome, but I’m still very high on Alvin Kamara.

Kamara has seen incredible usage thus far, averaging 26 touches and 109.5 scrimmage yards in the four games since returning. This role is insane, and his price is too cheap.

Kamara is set to face off against Indianapolis, who has allowed the sixth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing backs. Both of these teams also play at a very fast pace, so we should see a lot of plays run, leading to more opportunities for Kamara to explode.

Josh Downs has seen 20 targets over the past three weeks, with 15.7, 13.1, and 26.5 DraftKings points.

We also saw Downs rack up 12 targets in Week 3 with Minshew under center, showing his rapport with Indianapolis’ signal caller. Now comes a matchup against New Orleans, who runs a lot of man coverage. With Minshew under center, Downs leads the team with a 25% target share against man coverage. He also runs over 75% of his routes from the slot, which is the soft spot of New Orleans’ defense.

This game will have a ton of plays, and these two can both rack up the volume through the air. I like them as an overlooked secondary stack that can provide upside in your lineups.
