Week 7 NFL DFS Stacks and Picks

Jayden Daniels + Terry McLaurin + Chuba Hubbard + Diontae Johnson

  • Jayden Daniels ($7,600 DraftKings, $9,100 FanDuel)
  • Terry McLaurin ($6,800 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel)
  • Chuba Hubbard ($6,500 DraftKings, $7,400 FanDuel)
  • Diontae Johnson ($6,600 DraftKings, $7,100 FanDuel)

Week 7 is all about prioritizing the Washington Commanders. Did not expect to say that this season.

The NFC East leading Commanders are eight-point home favorites against the Carolina Panthers. They are implied for 29.75 points, which is nearly three more points than the second-highest team total.

Rookie phenom Jayden Daniels has the highest projected ceiling at the quarterback position in our models on both DraftKings and FanDuel this week. Daniels has eclipsed 20+ DraftKings points in all but one game this season. He has the third most fantasy points per game among quarterbacks.

Daniels is already one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks. He leads the league with a 75.3% completion percentage and ranks second behind Lamar Jackson in rushing yards per game. A matchup against the Panthers, who rank 29th in defense DVOA, is one that Daniels will be able to exploit. The Panthers are allowing a league-high 33.8 points per game this season and rank second-to-last in sacks per game.

It took a few weeks for the Daniels and Terry McLaurin connection to blossom, but now they are cooking. In the last four weeks, McLaurin is averaging over 20 DraftKings points per game. During that time, he has caught four touchdown passes and has two 100+ receiving yard games. Daniels is the best quarterback play on the slate, and McLaurin might be the best wide receiver option.

McLaurin is far and away the #1 option for Daniels. He leads the Commanders by a wide margin in targets, receptions, yards, and touchdowns. McLaurin is also tied for the second-highest air yard percentage in the league at 52%. He will be popular. McLaurin is projected to be the highest-owned wide receiver on FanDuel and the second-highest-owned on DraftKings.

Jayden Daniels to Terry McLaurin is arguably the best stack on the slate.

Despite the Panthers being 1-5 to start the season, they have a couple of intriguing fantasy options, starting with running back Chuba Hubbard. Over his last four weeks, Hubbard has captured at least 92 yards on the ground in each game while averaging 22.5 DraftKings points per game. He has a positive Plus/Minus in all but one game this season and Hubbard has proven to be matchup-proof.

Since Week 2, Hubbard has had at least four receptions in every game. Whether the Panthers have the lead or are trailing, Hubbard is going to get the ball. For how good the Commanders offense has been, their defense has been just as bad. They rank 28th in defense DVOA while allowing 354 yards per game.

Not only is Hubbard looking like a great bring back, but so is wide receiver Diontae Johnson. With Adam Thielen on the Injured Reserve, Johnson has double-digit targets in three of his last four games. However, keep an eye on his status. Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury that has forced him to miss both Wednesday and Thursday practice. He played through the injury last week and recorded six receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown, but this is certainly something to monitor this week.

If Johnson is unable to play, I would recommend just a Daniels, McLaurin, and Hubbard game stack.

With the Commanders and Panthers both struggling defensively, expect a high-scoring game in Washington. This 51.5-point total is the highest on this 10-game main slate.

Geno Smith + Kenneth Walker III + DK Metcalf + Drake London

  • Geno Smith ($5,800 DraftKings, $7,600 FanDuel)
  • Kenneth Walker III ($7,300 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel)
  • DK Metcalf ($6,800 DraftKings, $8,100 FanDuel)
  • Drake London ($6,900 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel)

Another potential shootout this week involves the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons playing in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This total has risen to 51 points in what is projected to be an air raid. The Falcons are three-point favorites, but this stack is prioritizing the road underdog.

It all starts with Geno Smith, who is an egregious $5,800 on DraftKings. Smith has by far the highest projected Plus/Minus at the quarterback position, while still ranking fourth in overall projected points.

The Seahawks lead the league with 46.3 dropbacks per game. They are letting Smith air it out, and he has delivered with a league-leading 1,778 passing yards through the first six weeks. Being a road underdog, expect Smith and the Seahawks offense to let it fly yet again, which boosts Smith’s ceiling.

Pairing Smith with his top running back option is not a popular stacking route. However, Kenneth Walker III has been a beast since returning from his early season oblique injury. He has five rushing touchdowns in four games and has 15 receptions in his last two games. Even when Walker is bottled up in the running game, the Seahawks are making it a point to get their playmaker the ball.

Walker is second only to Derrick Henry is fantasy points per game among running backs. He has recorded a positive Plus/Minus in every game and has a great chance to exploit the Falcons run defense that is allowing 142.7 yards per game. Whether it is on the ground or through the air, Walker is an elite running back option on this slate.

Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett may be in danger of missing this game due to not practicing in back-to-back days. He is another player to monitor if he is able to practice on Friday. If Lockett is unable to play, that will likely flood even more targets to DK Metcalf. Despite back-to-back duds from Metcalf, his ceiling remains incredibly high, especially in this matchup.

Metcalf has been noticeably upset on the sidelines when the ball is not coming his way. A squeaky wheel at the wide receiver position, especially someone with Metcalf’s stature is a player worth targeting. With double-digit targets in half of his games played this season, Metcalf is due for another big performance.

A wide receiver on the Falcons side worth getting exposure to is Drake London. The Falcons are making a considerable effort to get London the ball. After a mediocre Week 1, London has posted a 31% target share in his last five games, including double-digit targets in three straight weeks.

London ranks third in the league with 38 receptions, and his salary is still affordable on both sites. The Seahawks defense has allowed 25 points per game, which is well above the league average.

This is a fantastic stack in terms of volume. DK Metcalf and Drake London have a great chance to receive double-digit targets. Kenneth Walker can punish the Falcons both on the ground and through the air, and Geno Smith, in a trailing game script, could throw 50 passes for the third time in his last four weeks.
