Daily Fantasy Football Week 7 NFL DFS Pricing Risers and Fallers on DraftKings

texans wr stefon diggs

Like any healthy market, price fluctuations are expected for players in daily fantasy football (NFL DFS). Exploring those fluctuations can often reveal bargain players to target after down weeks or players that are rising too high in price above future expectations.

Each week, we will analyze one player at each position that has notably increased and decreased in price.

Notable NFL DFS Price Increases

Jordan Love, QB (Green Bay Packers) Week 6 DraftKings Price $6,600; Week 7 DraftKings Price $6,900

Since his early season injury, Jordan Love has returned with a vengeance with two top-5 quarterback fantasy finishes in the last three weeks. He finished 22-32 for 258 yards and four touchdowns in a rout of the Cardinals on Sunday.

Love has 10 touchdown passes over the last three weeks with a strong 8.2 TD% on the season. The Packers have chosen to put the ball in the air in the red zone with four touchdown throws inside the 10-yard line over the last three weeks. That spells bad news for Josh Jacobs‘ fantasy upside but great news for Love and the likes of Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft.

The Packers face the Texans at home in a premier matchup with a strong expected point total. Love should be a lineup consideration with a variety of pass catching options in a potential shootout against CJ Stroud.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB (New York Giants) Week 6 DraftKings Price $5,700; Week 7 DraftKings Price $6,200

The rookie tailback has been a needed bright spot in the Giants offense this season, with two straight games with 100+ total yards from scrimmage. Tyrone Tracy Jr. saw 23 touches against the Bengals on Sunday night and finished with 50 rushing yards and 57 receiving yards.

The overall usage boost for Tracy Jr. over the last two weeks is encouraging, but his six catches on six targets last week is the biggest boon to his fantasy upside. A converted wide receiver in college, Tracy Jr. is an adept pass catcher out of the backfield and could provide a much-needed safety blanket for Daniel Jones in the offense.

Stefon Diggs, WR (Houston Texans) Week 6 DraftKings Price $7,400; Week 7 DraftKings Price $7,700

Veteran wideout Stefon Diggs is in line for the alpha workload this week with teammate Nico Collins on the injured list. After coming over from Buffalo, it wasn’t clear what the pecking order would turn out to be in Houston with Tank Dell also in the mix, but Diggs has been the clear number two option.

He has double-digit fantasy points in five of the team’s six games this season with an 82% snap rate and 23% target rate. With Collins out of the game, Diggs has a better chance at red-zone targets. He saw three last week after a four-week dry spell.

The Texans and Packers could easily turn into a high-scoring affair this weekend. Diggs is a great lineup option despite the price hike.

George Kittle, TE (San Francisco 49ers) Week 6 DraftKings Price $5,700; Week 7 DraftKings Price $6,000

The most consistent fantasy tight end in 2024, George Kittle, has four straight weekly top-5 fantasy finishes at the position. He’s caught at least one touchdown in each of those games and is averaging seven targets on the season.

Kittle has earned 23% of the 49ers targets this season and topped out at 38% against the Cardinals in Week 5. With Christian McCaffrey out of the lineup and uncertainty at the wideout positions this season, Kittle has served as the safety blanket for Brock Purdy.

His ceiling is not massive, but no other tight end has the touchdown consistency that Kittle is seeing this season. He is a solid weekly option.

Notable NFL DFS Price Decreases

Geno Smith, QB (Seattle Seahawks) Week 6 DraftKings Price $6,000; Week 7 DraftKings Price $5,800

The Seahawks offense has leaned on Geno Smith‘s arm lately, averaging nearly 50 pass attempts over the last three games. Even with that increase in passing attempts, he still couldn’t find the end zone multiple times in a week. He has one touchdown pass in all six games this season, to go with six interceptions.

Smith has a trio of quality wideouts in DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba and has topped 300 passing yards in half his games this season. But his 2.4 TD% holds him back from elite fantasy production. If his pass attempts decline this week against Atlanta, the ceiling could come down for Smith’s fantasy upside.

De’Von Achane, RB (Miami Dolphins) Week 6 DraftKings Price $7,200; Week 7 DraftKings Price $6,700

Miami is in free fall this season without Tua Tagovailoa in the lineup. Their backup options in Tyler Huntley and Skylar Thompson have not generated any consistent offense in relief, and defenses have been able to focus on De’Von Achane and the Dolphins running attack.

Achane suffered a concussion in Week 5 prior to the bye week but has not been ruled out for this week’s game in Indianapolis. Even if he plays, Achane’s opportunities have dwindled each game from 29 touches in Week 2 to 13 opportunities in Week 4. Coming off the injury, expect him to be eased back into the attack.

With a salary still hovering near the $7,000 mark, fantasy owners need Achane to be a number one running back option, and the circumstances in Miami likely prevent him from maximizing the speed and potential he possesses.

Calvin Ridley, WR (Tennessee Titans) Week 6 DraftKings Price $5,500; Week 7 DraftKings Price $5,200

Normally, earning eight receptions in a game would be a positive outcome for a wideout, but those targets turned into a goose egg for Calvin Ridley on Sunday. Only one of the targets was truly catchable in Tennessee’s 20-17 loss to the Colts, as Will Levis struggled to put the ball in Ridley’s large catch radius.

Ridley’s comments to the media after the game threw his quarterback under the bus a bit, sparking trade rumors that have not come to fruition. With two catches and 14 yards combined in his last three games, a squeaky wheel game could potentially be in the cards for Ridley, but it’s hard to have any confidence that Levis can make that happen.

Sam LaPorta, TE (Detroit Lions) Week 6 DraftKings Price $5,500; Week 7 DraftKings Price $5,300

Another week, another price drop for Sam LaPorta. Don’t get fooled by the 52-yard touchdown catch last week. It was LaPorta’s only target of the game and came on a designed flea-flicker.

The Lions offense is humming with excellent production from both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. With Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams earning strong target share and Tim Patrick coming on as a third receiver option, there just haven’t been enough footballs to go around for LaPorta to come close to his 2023 usage. He’s averaging 2.6 catches and 3.0 targets this season.
