Daily Fantasy Football Week 16 NFL DFS Pricing Risers and Fallers on DraftKings

Like any healthy market, price fluctuations are expected for players in daily fantasy football (NFL DFS). Exploring those fluctuations can often reveal bargain players to target after down weeks or players that are rising too high in price above future expectations.

Each week, we will analyze one player at each position that has notably increased and decreased in price.

Notable NFL DFS Price Increases

Josh Allen, QB (Buffalo Bills) Week 15 DraftKings Price $8,500; Week 16 DraftKings Price $8,700

It’s hard to believe Josh Allen still has room to go up in salary at his current price level, but his historic play justifies it and then some. Over the last two games, Allen has scored over 99 DraftKings points with five touchdowns through the air and an incredible five touchdowns on the ground.

Allen has found himself in shootouts with the Rams and Lions in that span with the Bills defense failing to contain either opponent’s offense. It’s unlikely the Patriots and rookie quarterback Drake Maye will have the needed offensive firepower to turn this week’s game into a similar result, however the Patriots have allowed at least 25 points in each of the last four games.

Allen could cut his production from the last two games in half and still nearly reach his expected DraftKings points. He may not need to reach 340+ passing yards this week for the Bills to win the game, but he certainly should have scoring opportunities in a potential blowout.

Chase Brown, RB (Cincinnati Bengals) Week 15 DraftKings Price $7,200; Week 16 DraftKings Price $7,700

The Bengals have slowly but surely turned Chase Brown into their workhorse running back throughout the season. He has earned more than an 80% snap share each game since Week 9 and has reached the 20-touch threshold in five of the six games in that span.

Brown is a true dual-threat tailback with 47 receptions on the season and at least three catches in each of the last six games. He rushed 25 times for 97 yards and a score against Tennessee last week and added three catches for 16 yards and another touchdown through the air.

Despite not being the most talented running back in the league, Brown is seeing enough consistent work to make him a reliable fantasy option. Even at 4.4 yards/rush on the season, he has a +4.66 average Plus/Minus on the season and seven straight positive Plus/Minus games.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR (Detroit Lions) Week 15 DraftKings Price $7,600; Week 16 DraftKings Price $7,900

The chances of another 48-42 scoring bonanza is slim for the Detroit Lions, but Amon-Ra St. Brown‘s performance in a losing effort to the Bills is still worth taking notice. The superstar wideout caught 14 of his 18 targets for 193 yards and a touchdown.

It’s the first time he’s eclipsed double-digit targets since Week 11, but the slew of injuries to the Lions defense may help St. Brown continue to see elevated opportunities from Jared Goff as the Lions are forced to score more points.

The Bears are sixth in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers on the season, but the game has a relatively high over/under, with the Lions expected to get near the 30-point mark. St. Brown should be in line for another solid week.

Trey McBride, TE (Arizona Cardinals) Week 15 DraftKings Price $6,000; Week 16 DraftKings Price $6,200

The most consistent tight end outside of the incredible rookie Brock Bowers, Trey McBride has earned 51 targets over the last four weeks with at least 14 DraftKings points in each game. Amazingly, he is on pace to easily surpass 1,000 yards and 100 receptions on the season but he still has yet to catch a touchdown pass in 2024.

McBride has seen 29% of the Cardinals’ targets this season but has caught just three of his last 10 red zone opportunities over the last five games. He doesn’t need to score to be reliable for fantasy owners, but imagine the monster he could turn into with just a few more touchdown receptions.

Notable NFL DFS Price Decreases

Caleb Williams, QB (Chicago Bears) Week 15 DraftKings Price $5,700; Week 16 DraftKings Price $5,500

With few price drops to choose from this week, Caleb Williams makes this list as he falls farther down the low-end quarterback options. The first pick of last year’s draft struggled against Minnesota on Monday night, finishing 18-31 for 191 passing yards and one touchdown.

Williams had his best fantasy games of the season in Weeks 12-13 with five touchdown passes and an average of 298 passing yards against division foes Vikings and Lions. Since then, he’s failed to reach the 200-yard passing threshold in the last two games.

On the bright side, Williams has just five interceptions on the season and has not thrown the ball to the other team since the Bears’ Week 7 bye week. He will need to take a few more chances downfield to be fantasy-viable for the rest of the season. He has a 6.3 yards/attempt this season with just a 3.7% touchdown rate.

Breece Hall, RB (New York Jets) Week 15 DraftKings Price $6,400; Week 16 DraftKings Price $6,100

The Jets finally won a football game, but their offensive production came largely through the air, with Davante Adams nearly notching a 200-yard receiving game. Breece Hall saw just 11 touches and turned that into just 51 total yards. A rushing touchdown saved his fantasy day in an otherwise lackluster game.

Hall missed Week 14 due to injury and may be working his way back to a full workload as he took the field for just 48% of the plays against the Jaguars last week, his lowest rate of the season by far. With the playoffs out of reach for New York, it’s possible they may not hurry Hall back to a full carry share and instead lean on rookie Braelon Allen down the stretch.

The Rams are a middle-of-the-road rush defense but expect to play with a lead in this game. Aaron Rodgers is playing to secure a starting role in 2025, if he chooses, and will likely continue to use his receiving weapons to orchestrate the offense.

Cooper Kupp, WR (Los Angeles Rams) Week 15 DraftKings Price $7,000; Week 16 DraftKings Price $6,500

One of the most consistent fantasy wide receivers in football, Cooper Kupp, surprised everyone by logging his first game without a catch since 2019 on Thursday against the 49ers. He failed to bring in any of his three targets in the touchdown-less 12-6 Rams win.

Kupp had caught at least five balls in six of the seven previous games since returning from injury. He logged five top-20 fantasy weeks in that span, with five total touchdowns and a pair of 100-yard receiving games.

Even with second-year standout Puka Nacua garnering a lot of Matthew Stafford‘s attention, Kupp still earned at least a 26% target share in the four weeks prior to the 49ers matchup. This price drop may be a good buying opportunity for Kupp despite a difficult road matchup against the Jets defense.

Cade Otton, TE (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Week 15 DraftKings Price $4,500; Week 16 DraftKings Price $4,400

The Buccaneers tight end has seen a clear usage dip since their bye week in Week 11. Cade Otton saw 39 targets in the four weeks before the bye and has received just 17 in the four weeks after. He’s notched just one top-10 fantasy week at the position in the last four games, with a 44-yard catch recording most of the point scoring.

Otton caught just two passes for 24 yards against the Chargers on Sunday, despite the Buccaneers putting 40 points on the board and Baker Mayfield throwing for 288 yards and four scores. Look elsewhere for Week 16.
