There are an abundance of tools at FantasyLabs to use for your NFL DFS lineups each week. Our most popular tools are our NFL Player Models, which house our NFL DFS projections from Sean Koerner.
You can use these projections in our models with our Lineup Builder to hand-build your lineups or use our Lineup Optimizer to effortlessly create up to 150 lineups for your NFL DFS tournaments.
In this article, we will go position by position, highlighting my favorite plays for both cash games and single-entry/three-max GPP contests. These plays are also viable in large field tournaments but do not focus on ownership percentages.

NFL DFS Quarterback Picks
Lamar Jackson ($8,000 DraftKings, $8,800 FanDuel) Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns
We don’t have Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts on the main slate this week, so if you want to pay at quarterback in cash games, Jackson is your man. He’s had a few subpar games in a row, but now draws a squeaky-clean matchup at home vs. the Browns. Baltimore will be without star running back J.K. Dobbins, so I would expect Lamar to take on an even bigger role in the Ravens’ rushing attack.
This is a pretty egregious Browns defense, sitting 30th in rush defense DVOA and 27th in pass defense DVOA. They’ve also allowed the fifth-most yards per carry on the season as well as the second-most yards per pass attempt. Baltimore has a very healthy 26-point implied team total. It’s hard to see Lamar failing in this spot.
Geno Smith ($5,600 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel) Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Chargers
Smith finally came back down to earth last week against the Cardinals, as the Seattle defense stifled Kyler Murray and Co., holding them to nine points. Smith was not needed to throw that much, only dropping back 31 times. This week should be a much different story, with Seattle headed down to SoFi to take on the Chargers in the dome. This game has the highest total on the main slate at 50, and Seattle is a five-point dog.
The Chargers sit in the bottom half of the league in DK points allowed to both quarterbacks and wide receivers, but the path of least resistance against their defense is via the run game. We will get to Ken Walker in a bit, but if this game goes the way Vegas thinks, then Geno will have to throw at least 40 times, and at just $5,600 in this projected game environment, that gives you a pretty solid floor.
He is very cheap as well, sitting at just $5,600 on DraftKings.
NFL DFS Running Back Picks
Leonard Fournette ($7,700 DraftKings, $8,400 FanDuel) Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers
I wrote up Fournette and the Bucs D in my stacks article, but that was before the Christian McCaffrey to San Francisco news broke. Not that he has anything to do with how Fournette will play this week, but it’s just to illustrate that Carolina has all but given up this season and should get absolutely demolished by an angry Bucs team this week.
The Bucs, at the time of writing this, are a whopping 13-point road favorites against the Panthers. It’s unlikely they will have too much trouble scoring points, and we could see this game over quickly. Fournette is involved heavily in the passing game but will definitely challenge 20 carries in this spot if the Bucs go up multiple scores. Both the 100-yard bonus and a touchdown are in play for Fournette in this spot, and with some of the value we have this week, it’s not too difficult to fit him.
Josh Jacobs ($6,500 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel) Las Vegas Raiders vs. Houston Texans
Jacobs is arguably the best play on the entire slate, and also someone who I wrote up in my stacks article. I will keep this relatively short; he’s seen a combined 60 running back opportunities (carries + targets) over his past two weeks and is now taking on a Texans team that ranks dead last in DK points allowed to opposing RBs.
Las Vegas is a seven-point home favorite in this spot and will absolutely force-feed Jacobs if playing from ahead. He’s 100% live to hit the 100-yard bonus and find the paint twice, which is usually not easy to find at $6,500.
Play the man.
Kenneth Walker III ($5,800 DraftKings, $7,300 FanDuel) Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Chargers
Walker is a slightly thinner play than he was last week against Arizona, mainly due to expected game flow. The Seahawks, as mentioned above, are a pretty big road dogs and we have still yet to see how Pete Carroll will handle the distribution of running back touches if Seattle is playing from behind. Walker saw three targets last week, but you’d have to figure we would get an uncomfortable amount of DeeJay Dallas if the Chargers go up big.
On the flip side, the matchup is absolutely elite, as Los Angeles sits dead last in the NFL in yards per carry allowed and 22nd in rush defense DVOA. Walker also very much looked the part of an NFL starting running back last week, breaking off big plays and finding the end zone.
He’s a legit talent, and this game should feature plenty of scoring, so at just $5,800, he needs to be on our radar.
NFL DFS Wide Receiver Picks
CeeDee Lamb ($6,800 DraftKings, $7,700 FanDuel) Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions
You might have heard that the Lions are bad on defense. You also might have heard that Dak Prescott is back under center for the Cowboys after missing six weeks with his thumb injury. All of this bodes incredibly well for CeeDee Lamb, who leads the NFL in target share, and sits fourth in targets per route run.
The Cowboys have the highest team total on the slate, sitting at 27.75 points, and while they will have plenty of success on the ground, you’d absolutely think this is a spot to unleash Dak in what should be the easiest matchup he will face all year.
We have also seen the Lions’ ability to score points in bunches, so god forbid this game turns into a back-and-forth affair. Lamb could absolutely go nuclear. Detroit is allowing the fourth highest catch rate to opposing wide receivers in the NFL and rank 25th in DK points allowed to the position.
Lamb has an elite floor and ceiling combination in this spot.
Tee Higgins ($6,400 DraftKings, $7,100 FanDuel) Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons
Higgins looked much healthier last week after essentially sitting out the final three quarters against the Ravens two weeks ago. He saw nine targets — one less than Ja’Marr Chase — and turned that into a modest 6/47/0 line.
Another week removed from the ankle problem, and a tasty matchup against the Falcons awaits. Atlanta just got absolutely torched by Brandon Aiyuk last week to the tune of 8/82/2, and now ranks dead last in total receptions allowed to wideouts and second to last in WR touchdowns allowed.
It’s the usual story with the Bengals, as Chase is almost $2K more expensive than Higgins, despite them seeing similar target volume when both are healthy. Cincinnati should have its way with this Falcons defense this week, and Higgins is a borderline cash game lock at just $6,400 in this spot.
NFL DFS Tight End Picks
Foster Moreau ($2,800 DraftKings, $4,600 FanDuel) Las Vegas Raiders vs. Houston Texans
The two best tight end plays this week, if you don’t pay all the way up for Mark Andrews, are stone punts. The first of which is Moreau, who will be stepping in for the injured Darren Waller, who’s nursing a hamstring injury and has already been ruled out. This one is not that difficult, Moreau can absolutely play, and we have seen him have his share of big games when Waller has missed in the past.
The Raiders have a 26-point implied team total, and it’s more than fine to play Josh Jacobs in the same lineup as Moreau, who costs just $2,800 this week on DraftKings. The Texans will have their hands full trying to stop both Jacobs and Davante Adams, which should leave the big fella Moreau to eat this week.
Cade Otton ($2,700 DraftKings, $4,900 FanDuel) Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers
Otton stepped in for the injured Cameron Brate two weeks ago against the Falcons and caught six passes for 43 yards on seven targets. Brate is out yet again this week after suffering a scary neck injury against the Steelers, so we should see Otton on the field plenty. We know Tom Brady loves throwing to his tight ends, and as mentioned above, this Panthers team is stone dust and should absolutely get carved up.
Otton is $100 cheaper than Moreau on DraftKings, so if you find yourself in a spot where that $100 is important, by all means, drop to the rookie.
