CS:GO DFS Projections for Wednesday, April 22: Stack Cloud9 vs. Triumph

The Road to Rio qualifying stage kicks off Wednesday with teams looking to reserve a spot in November’s CS:GO ESL major. I’ll be focusing on the “Main” slate, which includes six matches and kicks off at 12:30 p.m. ET.

CS:GO Notes for Wednesday, April 22

DraftKings

  • The slate on DraftKings is well-priced with few obvious values sticking out. The highest value ratings come mostly from a group of sub-$5,500 players who play for underdog teams. The most interesting of this group is twist of NiP. Twist sports a near 1:1 kill:death ratio over the past six months and pairs that with an average 1.03 Rating 2.0 score. With NiP currently listed at +115 against Vitality on the moneyline, twist represents the very definition of a play that could go either way. But at $4,600, that’s not the worst thing, as playing twist will afford you with the flexibility to jam in multiple high-priced players.
  • The other cheap option worth considering is delboNi of Imperial. DelboNi’s game has few holes as evidenced by his market share numbers — he hovers around the 20% mark in kills, deaths, and assists. DelboNi enters Wednesday in strong form, having posted more kills than deaths in four of his past five matches, including 48:30 and 71:52 performances in Imperial’s two most recent games.
  • On the high end, oSee looks like the safest bet at $9,000. Cloud9 is currently listed as a -420 favorite against Triumph and oSee leads the team in kill share, death share, and assist share. oSee has been somewhat inconsistent of late, having logged more deaths than kills in three of Cloud9’s past six matches, but that included two matchups against HAVU and one against MAD Lions, two teams ranked comfortably ahead of Triumph in world ranking. Operating as a heavy favorite, oSee should be a relatively safe bet on Wednesday.

FanDuel

  • As for FanDuel, Brehze looks very appealing at $10,400. Priced as the most expensive player on DraftKings, Brehze checks in as the eleventh-most expensive option on FD. Brehze commands the fifth-highest kill share on the slate while playing for Evil Geniuses, the heaviest favorite on the board. What’s not to like?
  • Cloud9 looks like the top team to stack on FanDuel, as four of the five players on the -420 favorite are priced below $9,500. Given the loose Cloud9 pricing, it is even feasible to double-stack the two largest favorites — Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses — in a single lineup, a build that will no doubt be popular on Wednesday.
