Here’s a breakdown of one-game DFS contests for the Week 5 Sunday Night Football matchup featuring the Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
Cash Game Strategy
In perhaps the most obvious statement ever in this space, Patrick Mahomes leads the way in floor, median, ceiling and Projected Plus/Minus in our DraftKings Showdown Models. Mahomes’ counterpart, Jacoby Brissett, has the second-best floor, ceiling and projected Plus/Minus as he expects to welcome back the services of No. 1 wideout T.Y. Hilton (quad).
Damien Williams (knee) is also expected to make his return and should split work with LeSean McCoy, so you want to get both of them in as well. Assuming Marlon Mack (ankle) suits up as well, Mahomes, Brissett, McCoy, Williams and Mack fit in with Mahomes in the Captain spot if you punt the final spot with Deon Cain. Cain has struggled this season, catching only three of 11 targets, but he tied Chester Rogers for the team lead in routes run last week (42), per Pro Football Focus, and is $2,400 cheaper. If Mack sits, there’s enough salary to get Jordan Wilkins and Eric Ebron in place of Mack and Cain.
On FanDuel, Mahomes, Brissett, McCoy and Williams fit along with Nyheim Hines, who ran more routes last week (26) than Mack (14) and Wilkins combined. Hines should be active with the Colts a double-digit road underdog (see live odds here). Should Mack sit, Hines can be swapped out for Wilkins.
