BetMGM Deposit Match
The 20% deposit match can earn you up to $1,500, but there are some caveats to note.
The big one is that this offer comes with a 10x rollover, which means you must wager 10x your bonus amount in the first 30 days on the platform. So if you get $400 in bonus bets from a $2,000 deposit, you have to wager $4,000 — 40 bets at $100 each, or 80 bets at $50 each, etc.
If you’re planning to bet anyway, it’s doable, but if you’re planning on just grabbing a bonus and running, this offer is probably not for you.
BetMGM Bet/Get Offer
The bet/get offer is more straightforward — just place a $10 wager with standard odds (so -110, +100) on anything and you’ll get $200 in bonus bets.
The main note is that the bonus bets will be returned in four $50 increments, and you can’t split them down any further than that. At bet365 and FanDuel, if you have $200 in bonus bets, you can make 200, $1 bets or one, $200 bet. That’s not the case at BetMGM as the amounts are predetermined.
How Bonus Bets Work at BetMGM
The actual function of bonus bets work similarly at almost every sportsbook. You keep any profit from said bonus bets, but not the bonus bet itself.
Let’s take a look.
Say I want to bet $50 in bonus bets on the Vikings at +250 against the Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
- If the Eagles win, I lose the bonus bet.
- If the Vikings win, I 2.5x my money, and make $125 in cash. However, I don’t keep the $50 bonus. Had I placed that bet with cash, the $50 wager would also be returned to me.
