Today we are on the hunt for plus-money value. All the suggested wagers below are plus-money, which means you would win more than you pay in. A bet listed with a + next to it is a plus-money bet. If you see a bet listed at +120, it means that you would win $120 on a $100 bet. A bet listed at -120, meanwhile, would cost you $120 to win $100. Plus-money wagers have lower theoretical odds of winning, but there are some that offer potential value to the bettor. Let’s take a look at a few.
- Depending on which team you think will win, you can find some plus-money value in the alternate spread markets. If Kansas City ends up winning, they will obviously cover the +1.5 spread currently listed at -110 on bet365. This number hasn’t moved much so far, and the sportsbooks seem pretty content with the action they are getting on both sides. However, if you move the Total up or down just 1.5 points, you’re into plus money. Over 52.5 is +105 and Under 49.5 is +110 and it goes on from there in both directions. If you think the game will be a high-scoring shootout, you might be comfortable giving up a few more points. You can get Over 54.5 at a tasty +130 or even Over 58.5 at +210.
- Conversely, a few points to the Under can get you to some good value. Under 48.5 is +120 and Under 44.5 is a very nice +200. Just remember that the Total is listed at 51 because the sportsbooks know what they are doing. They are really good at predicting spreads and totals, so you may not want to stray too far from 51.
- The last stop on our journey to find plus-money value brings us to the Alternative Total Field Goals Made category. bet365 and other sportsbooks predict that between 3 and 4 field goals will be made in the big game. As such, the plus-money value can be found on the other side of those numbers. Over 3.5 field goals comes in at an appealing +120 while under 2.5 field goals is an even more appealing +175.
