Bales: Week 1 DraftKings Lineup Review, Part II (The Good and the Bad)

I had a good Week 1, but I think I made a few uncharacteristic mistakes, too, for a variety of reasons. I was on the road, which is definitely an underrated challenge for those who prefer to get into a routine. There was also massive overlay on DraftKings, so I was scrambling on Sunday to create more lineups and probably (definitely) didn’t pay enough attention to the lineups I already had. There were actually some cash lineups from Thursday that I didn’t even edit (I actually started to play some cash early in Week 1 – probably due to the excitement of the season – and then just stopped). And then as a GPP player who prefers to play a small-to-moderate number of lineups, I just wasn’t really “in flow” when it came to quickly adjusting to eat up the overlay. Definitely a learning experience, which every week should be, win or lose.

Anyway, I luckily had a few lineups that crushed to make up for my lackluster Sunday process. Below, I review two of my lineups from this week: my top one (in terms of points) that finished 3rd in the $27 Gridiron, and one of my worst that finished 75th out of 76 in the $1k Q. I think it’s important to analyze every type of lineup – no matter where it finishes – to evolve as a player.
