Baseball is back! Check back here throughout the day for updated blurbs as teams confirm their lineup. We’ll keep you updated on some of the day’s highest-impact trends by utilizing our Models and Vegas dashboard. Projected and confirmed lineups for every game can be found on our MLB Daily Lineups page.

Orioles (+158) at Blue Jays (-172) — 7:07 PM EST

Orioles in: Adam Jones (bereavement)

Orioles out: Mark Trumbo (right knee inflammation)

The Orioles placed Mark Trumbo on the 10-day disabled list due to inflammation in his right knee, so Trey Mancini and Adam Jones will bat third and fourth, respectively. The Orioles are presently implied to score just 3.9 runs against the Blue Jays, although both offenses could benefit from estimated wind gusts of 10 miles per hour blowing out to left field. Overall, each of Mancini, Jones, Chris Davis, Renato Nunez, and Caleb Joseph have posted positive wOBA and ISO splits vs. right-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. They’ll face off against righty Marco Estrada, who has allowed at least four runs in three of his last four starts. Estrada needs to do a better job limiting big hits, as he ranks among the main slate’s bottom-five pitchers in average batted ball distance, exit velocity, and fly-ball rate allowed over the past 15 days. The Blue Jays-Orioles’ matchup currently has the third-most hitter-friendly Weather Rating in Monday’s main slate.

Giants (+109) at Mets (-118) — 7:10 PM EST

Mets in: Jack Reinheimer

Mets out: Brandon Nimmo (left index finger bone bruise)

The Mets placed Brandon Nimmo on the 10-day disabled list due to a bone bruise on his left index finger. They’ll roll with Amed RosarioAustin Jackson, and Wilmer Flores at the top of the order for their matchup against the Giants. The Mets are presently implied to score an unimpressive 3.9 runs, and their lineup has combined to post a pedestrian .281 wOBA vs. southpaws over the past 12 months – the third-lowest mark in Monday’s main slate. This is all great news for lefty Derek Holland, who has allowed two or fewer runs in five of his last six starts. Overall, Holland has posted a +5.4 Plus/Minus on FanDuel with a 70 percent Consistency Rating in his last 10 starts. He’s again in play on FanDuel, where his $7,300 price tag comes with an 80 percent Bargain Rating and a +2.4 Projected Plus/Minus. Holland’s 6.8 K Prediction is the second-highest mark in Monday’s main slate.
