Mets (+163) at Cardinals (-177) — 8:15 PM EST
Cardinals in: Tommy Pham (tight right groin).
The Cardinals will roll with Matt Carpenter, Tommy Pham, and Jose Martinez at the top of the lineup for their matchup against the Mets. Carpenter in particular is set up well, as he’s averaged 8.71 DraftKings points with a +0.83 Plus/Minus and a 45 percent Consistency Rating in 438 games as the Cardinals’ leadoff hitter since 2014. Carpenter is the only second base eligible player with a Projected Ceiling above 25 points, and he also carries a positive Projected Plus/Minus on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Overall, each of Carpenter, Dexter Fowler, and Marcell Ozuna have posted positive wOBA and ISO splits vs. right-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. Zack Wheeler will have his hands full with a Cardinals lineup that has combined to post a .347 wOBA vs. right-handed pitchers – the third-highest mark in Tuesday’s main slate. Still, Wheeler has done a great job limiting big hits this season, ranking among the main slate’s top-three pitchers in exit velocity and hard-hit rate allowed over the past 15 days. The Cardinals are currently implied to score 4.6 runs.
Brewers (-129) at Royals (+119) — 8:15 PM EST
Royals in: Salvador Perez (left knee), Alex Gordon (hip).
Salvador Perez will make his season debut on Tuesday after suffering a minor tear in his left knee during spring training. Alex Gordon has also been activated from the disabled list after missing multiple weeks with a hip injury, and he’ll hit seventh. The Royals are currently implied to score a respectable 4.3 runs and are especially in play on DraftKings, where their Team Value Rating of 78 is the third-highest mark in Tuesday’s main slate. Lucas Duda in particular is set up well against Zach Davies, as he’s posted .139 and .158 wOBA and ISO differentials vs. right-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. Overall, Duda ranks among the main slate’s top-eight first basemen in wOBA and ISO vs. righties over the past calendar year. Still, Davies has done a great job limiting big hits this season, ranking among the top-three pitchers in average batted ball distance and fly-ball rate over the past 15 days. He’s one of just four pitchers in Tuesday’s main slate that have allowed less than one home run per nine innings pitched over the past calendar year.
