St. Louis Cardinals
With the Lineup Builder, it’s easy to incorporate stacks into DFS rosters. The Cardinals are one of the top stacks in the Bales Model, and they are implied for an exceptional 5.2 runs. They are one of six teams currently implied for at least 5.0 runs, and their implied run total has increased 0.2 runs since the line opened (per our Vegas Dashboard):
Per our MLB Lineups page, Randal Grichuk is projected to hit from the No. 2 spot today. Over his last 10 games, he has averaged a +2.88 FanDuel Plus/Minus while sporting amazing Statcast data, specifically a recent batted ball distance of 259 feet, an exit velocity of 98 miles per hour, and a hard hit rate of 65 percent. Historically, batters with similar Statcast data have averaged a +4.13 FanDuel Plus/Minus with a 55.1 percent Consistency Rating (per our Trends tool.) Three of the four Cardinals batters boast Bargain Ratings of at least 90 percent on FanDuel, which could allow a little room for Rockies batters, who are implied for a massive, slate-high 6.9 runs at Coors Field.
Cincinnati Reds
One of the top-rated DraftKings stacks in the CSURAM88 Model belongs to the Reds, who are implied for 5.3 runs. However, because they’re in Coors tonight, their prices are inflated, and they have a Team Value Rating of just 63, which is tied for 13th among the 16 teams on the main slate.
Batting from the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, Joey Votto and Adam Duvall own ISO marks over .210 against right-handed pitching. Votto boasts a stellar recent batted ball distance of 250 feet, an exit velocity of 93 mph, and a fly ball rate of 42 percent. Historically, batters with similar Statcast data have averaged a +2.02 DraftKings Plus/Minus. Duvall is sporting a fly ball rate of 56 percent, which may bode well in Coors. Some of the Reds could go underowned as the opposing Rockies soak up ownership, which Pro Subscribers can view via our DFS Ownership Dashboard after lock.
Boston Red Sox
If you create a stack using Pro Trends, the Red Sox rank as the top five-man stack on DraftKings with a combined 42 Pro Trends. They’re currently implied for the slate’s second-highest total at 5.7 runs and own a Team Value Rating of 83, which is also second-best on the slate.
While Martin Perez hasn’t allowed a lot of home runs over the last year (0.885 HR/9), he has struggled more lately, allowing five home runs over his last 24 innings. He’s allowing a lot of runners on base, as evidenced by his 1.585 WHIP over the last 12 months; he’s given up seven or more hits in each of his last five starts. The Red Sox are in a tremendous spot tonight, but they could be lower-owned due to the Rockies’ sky-high run total.
