Detroit Tigers
With the Lineup Builder, it’s easy to incorporate stacks into DFS rosters. The top four-man FanDuel stack in the Bales Player Model belongs to the Tigers, who are currently implied for 5.3 runs:
Ian Kinsler has averaged a weak +0.03 FanDuel Plus/Minus over his last 10 games, but he has been smashing the ball as of late. Kinsler is sporting a recent batted ball distance of 258 feet and exit velocity of 96 miles per hour along with a Recent Batted Ball Luck of +40. Players with similar Statcast data and Rec BBL have averaged a +2.47 Plus/Minus with a 52.9 percent Consistency Rating (per our Trends tool). The Tigers could be a potent stack with Alex Avila, Miguel Cabrera, and J.D. Martinez all boasting ISOs over .227 against right-handers over the last year.
St. Louis Cardinals
The top five-man DraftKings stack in the CSURAM88 Model belongs to the Cardinals, who have an implied total of 4.7 runs (per our Vegas Dashboard):
Projected to be the leadoff man (per our Lineups page), Matt Carpenter owns a +1.47 DraftKings Plus/Minus over his last 10 games, as he has been crushing the ball with a recent batted ball distance of 247 feet. Batting cleanup, Jedd Gyroko will likely be low-owned despite his exceptional Statcast data as well as his .357 wOBA and .262 ISO against right-handers. There are currently seven teams implied for 5.0 or more runs — two of which are the Rockies and Giants at Coors Field — so the Cardinals may go overlooked even though their implied total has increased by 0.3 runs since the line opened. Miami Marlins
If you create a four-man FanDuel stack by ISO, the Marlins draw the top stack against Braves lefty Sean Newcomb:
Justin Bour hasn’t played since June 4, but reports are that he’ll be back in the lineup tonight, which is good for the Marlins, as he owns a .464 wOBA and .380 ISO against left-handed pitchers. In fact, all four players in this stack crush lefties. J.T. Realmuto is strutting a .387 wOBA and .218 ISO, Giancarlo Stanton owns a vaunting .498 wOBA and .452 ISO, and Marcell Ozuna boasts a .335 wOBA and .204 ISO.
With a +2.62 Plus/Minus over his last 10 games, Stanton has a 70 percent Bargain Rating. Against left-handers Stanton has historically averaged a +2.90 Plus/Minus with a 47.8 percent Consistency Rating. Newcomb had a strong MLB debut last Saturday, fanning seven batters and allowing zero earned runs in 6.1 innings pitched, but Newcomb is still an untested rookie and the Marlins will likely have low ownership with their 4.5-run implied total.
