St. Louis Cardinals
The Cardinals claim the two highest-rated four-man FanDuel stacks in the CSURAM88 Player Model. Both stacks feature Dexter Fowler, Matt Carpenter, and Jedd Gyorko, with Stephen Piscotty appearing in the highest-rated one:
The Cardinals have a slate-high Team Value Rating of 85 (per our Vegas Dashboard) and a great matchup against Reds righty Bronson Arroyo, who has allowed 13 home runs in his last six starts. Overall, Arroyo is a bottom-two pitcher in batted ball distance, exit velocity, and hard hit rate over the past 12 months. It doesn’t help him that he’ll have to deal with winds gusting to right at eight miles per hour (per our MLB Lineups page).
Baltimore Orioles
With the Lineup Builder, it’s easy to incorporate stacks into DFS rosters. Today’s highest-rated four-man DraftKings stack in the Bales Player Model belongs to the Orioles, who are currently implied to score 5.2 runs — the second-highest mark in the main slate. With four teams implied to score between 5.0 and 5.3 runs, the Orioles could have reduced ownership, which Pro Subscribers can review via our DFS Ownership Dashboard after lineups lock:
The Orioles have a great matchup against Pirates righty Chad Kuhl, who has surrendered the second-highest ISO and fourth-highest wOBA over the past 15 days among all starting pitchers in the slate. It’s an especially appetizing matchup for Chris Davis, who is crushing the ball with a batted ball distance of 247 feet and fly ball rate of 50 percent over the last 15 days. When he’s been at home against right-handed pitchers and in comparable form he’s averaged 10.86 DraftKings points with a +2.40 Plus/Minus and 48.6 percent Consistency Rating since 2014 (per our Trends tool).
Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox offer the highest-rated five-man DraftKings ISO stack. They’ll take on the Yankees at Yankee Stadium:
All five hitters in the stack have positive ISO differentials against lefties over the past 12 months, and the Red Sox are fourth in the main slate with a Team Value Rating of 76. Facing lefty CC Sabathia, who’s a bottom-three pitcher in average batted ball distance, exit velocity, and hard-hit rate allowed over the past 15 days, these Red Sox are in a good spot to crush from the right side of the plate. Historically, high-ISO batters have outperformed against pitchers in comparable recent form with a +1.12 Plus/Minus.
