Unlike tournament-long contests that start on Thursday, DraftKings weekend golf contests do not award points for finishing position. Instead, DFS players should focus on birdies, eagles, bogey avoidance, and bonuses earned by shooting both rounds under 70 or birdie streaks of three.
Everybody’s Working For The Weekend
When preparing for the weekend slate, Pro Subscribers can use our Player Models to research both Long-Term (LT) and Recent Adjusted Birdies Per Tournament (Adj Bird Avg), Adjusted Eagles Per Tournament (Adj Eagle Avg), and Adjusted Bogeys Per Tournament (Adj Bog Avg).
Another thing in our models I have found extremely valuable is that the Vegas odds to win are continuously updated. For instance, Peter Hanson ($7,700) is eight shots off the lead, but he currently has the fifth-highest (5.3 percent) odds to win. Hanson finished T6 in this event last year and shot a combined 10-under par on the weekend.

The Bump and Run
Choke up and take a narrow stance.
Ross Fisher ($10,000): After barely making the cut on the number with a two-under second round, Fisher is a whopping 13 shots off the lead and will have some serious ground to make up this weekend. Fisher’s 14.2 LT Adj Bird Avg ranks 14th in the field.
Fabrizio Zanotti ($9,300): Zanotti kept both rounds under 70 and shot a combined 11-under par on the weekend at last week’s Shenzhen International. His 17.5 Recent Adj Bird Avg ranks sixth in this field among golfers who have made more than one start in the past six weeks. Zanotti excelled on the weekend at this track a year ago when he once again kept both rounds under 70 and shot a combined nine-under par on Saturday and Sunday.
Peter Uihlein ($8,900): Uihlein has ownership above 50 percent in both the $3 Birdie and $33 Dogleg tournaments that started Thursday, and he is likely to be highly-owned once again this weekend. Importantly, he is in prime chasing position at six-under par and eight shots off the lead. Uihlein’s 14.3 LT Adj Bird Avg is tied for 12th in the field, and his chunky 18.0 Recent Adj Bird Avg is the fourth-best score among golfers who have made more than one start in the past six weeks. In five tournaments since the beginning of March, Uihlein has shot 69 or better in seven of his 10 weekend rounds.
Dean Burmester ($8,000): Burmester’s 16.1 LT Adj Bird Avg is the best in the field, and his 0.6 LT Adj Eagle Avg is fourth-best among golfers who have made more than one start in the past 12 months. Burmester starts the weekend seven shots off the lead at seven-under par.
Haotong Li ($7,800): Last year’s champion, Li is currently four-under par and 10 shots off the lead, but he currently has the seventh-best odds to win (4.8 percent). He shot a combined 14-under par on the weekend at this track last year.
Bernd Ritthammer ($7,000): Even though he is one of the lowest-priced golfers in the field, the other Bernd just might drop the Ritthammer on this field over the weekend. In Ritthammer’s last four weekend rounds, he has shot 66 twice and had three rounds under 70. His 7.8 LT Adj Bog Avg is the 12th-best score among golfers with more than one start in the past 12 months.
