Redskins at Eagles
The Redskins will visit the Eagles in a Vegas pick’em in this NFC East divisional matchup. Both teams are currently implied to score 23.25 points in a game with a 46.5 total.
Washington Redskins

QB – Kirk Cousins
Cousins has attempted the fifth-most passes (474), the third-most passes inside the opponent’s 10-yard line (34), and has thrown for the third-most passing yards (3,811) in the NFL this season. Per our Trends tool, Cousins has produced a +5.53 Plus/Minus on DraftKings in road games this season while averaging 22.02 DK points per game. You like that! (It wasn’t a question).
Also, the once-formidable Eagles pass defense has allowed a whopping +7.08 Plus/Minus and 23.75 points per game to quarterbacks on DK in their last five games. Only Matt Ryan scored fewer than 23.9 DK points during that stretch. Cousins is a fine play in all formats this week.
RB – Rob Kelley
After getting just 14 carries in back-to-back weeks, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said that he’d like to get “more touches for Robert because he’s been very good.” In three games this season in which Kelley has gotten at least 20 carries, he has averaged 18.8 FanDuel and 19.96 DK points per game. Despite the lack of carries over the past two weeks, R-Kelley still has a dominating 77.89 percent of the Redskins’ rushes over the past four weeks (per Bryan Mears’ Market Share Report). Kelley is currently the No. 3 running back in Adam Levitan’s Player Model for DK.
RB – Chris Thompson
Thompson has not scored double-digit DK points in the past five weeks and his numbers on FD are even worse: He has averaged just 4.6 points during that time. At this point, Thompson is only playable as a short-slate GPP dart in a format like DK’s “early-only” games.
WR- Pierre Garcon
Garcon has been targeted at least seven times in four of his last five games, during which time he has averaged 15.3 DK points per game. Garcon leads the Redskins with a 20 percent target share in the past four games, and he is presently a top-seven rated wide receiver in the Bales, CSURAM88, and Levitanimal Player Models for DK. Per our Matchups tool, Garcon should see his fair share of Eagles cornerback Nolan Carroll, who is Pro Football Focus’ 104th-graded corner. Garcon is an enticing option in guaranteed prize pools: He has a top-12 projected ceiling and FantasyLabs projected ownership of just two to four percent in the DK Millionaire Maker.
WR – Jamison Crowder
The Consistency continues: Crowder has now had either a touchdown or 100 yards receiving in seven of his last eight games. According to our Trends tool, JC has manufactured a +5.67 Plus/Minus with 100 percent Consistency with average ownership of just 2.6 percent on FD since Week 5 of the 2016 season. Crowder did suffer a hip injury in last week’s game, so monitor his status this week with our NFL News feed. If healthy, Crowder is an alluring option on FD, where he has an 86 percent Bargain Rating.
WR – DeSean Jackson
Jackson has had more than four catches in a game just twice this season. The Eagles defense is ranked second in Defense-Adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) against opposing No. 1 WRs, per Football Outsiders. As is usually the case, Jackson is a volatile GPP option best suited for TD-heavy FD, where he maintains a 90 percent Bargain Rating this week.
TE – Jordan Reed
After missing last week’s game, Reed (shoulder) saw some practice this week and hopes to play this weekend. He’s officially questionable.
TE – Vernon Davis
Davis has played well in relief of Jordan Reed this season, and, if Reed remains out, Davis is a viable low-cost alternative at TE on both sites. Per the RotoViz Game Splits App, Davis has been targeted 5.33 times per game and averaged 12.13 PPR points in three games without Reed this season.
Philadelphia Eagles

QB – Carson Wentz
Wentz has thrown six interceptions compared to just three touchdowns in his last three games and the Redskins have allowed the 10th-fewest passing touchdowns (17) in the NFL this season. He accumulated just 16.1 FD points on a massive 60 attempts last week, and he has not scored more than 18.5 FD points since Week 3 this season. Wentz is not a recommended option, especially if Jordan Matthews is limited again.
RB – Darren Sproles
Despite the steaming pile of cow dung very confusing mess that is the Eagles backfield, Sproles continues to maintain some value — especially on DraftKings — because of his involvement in the passing game. Sproles has now been targeted six or more times in five of his last six games and owns a 13.64 percent target share during the past four weeks (per Mears’ Market Share Report). With FantasyLabs projected ownership of one percent or less, Sproles could be stacked with either the Eagles defense or with Wentz in an attempt to differentiate your roster in a large-field GPP like DK’s Milly Maker.
RB – Wendell Smallwood
The good news: Smallwood leads the Eagles with 42.57 percent of their carries over the past four weeks. The bad news: He’s averaged just 10.75 carries per game during that time. That said, the Redskins rank 30th in rush DVOA this season (per FO) and Smallwood could be tossed in a lineup as a GPP dart.
RB – Ryan Mathews
Mathews has the sixth-most rushes inside the opponent’s 10-yard (20) and five-yard lines (12) in the NFL this season. His seven rushing touchdowns from inside the 10-yard line are the fifth-most in the league. Those numbers alone make him worthy of a GPP flyer on TD-heavy FD, where he has a 98 percent Bargain Rating and is currently the sixth-rated RB in CSURAM88’s Player Model.
Mathews is officially (and symbolically) questionable.
WR – Jordan Matthews
Prior to leaving the Week 12 game early with an ankle injury, J-Matt had been targeted a mammoth 45 times in a four-game stretch. Per our Matchups tool, Matthews will run routes at Kendall Fuller, who is Pro Football Focus’ 94th-graded cornerback. Matthews is expected to play against the Redskins this week, but monitor his status leading up to kickoff on our NFL News feed.
Matthews (ankle) is officially questionable but expected to play.
WR – Dorial Green-Beckham
Per Mears’ Market Share Report, DGB has now moved into second place in the Eagles’ target share pecking order with 15.91 percent over the past four weeks. Green-Beckham has been targeted 10 times per game in two straight games and 28 times over the past three weeks. DGB will likely see his fair share of Josh Norman this week and is a boom-or-bust GPP option only — if he plays.
DGB (oblique) didn’t practice on Friday and is officially questionable to play. That he missed practice this late in the week doesn’t bode well for his chances of playing.
WR – Nelson Agholor and Bryce Treggs
Nelson Agholor was benched for performance issues last week and finally returned with just four catches for 23 yards. Somebody claiming to be the artist known as Bryce Treggs has accumulated one catch on five targets in the past four weeks. Utah! Get me two (different receivers)!
TE – Zach Ertz
Ertz has been targeted an impressive 47 times in the past five games. He’s had at least six catches and 55 yards or a touchdown in all but one of those five games. Washington ranks 28th in DVOA against tight ends this season (per FO), and, according to our Trends tool, the Redskins have allowed a substantial +10.13 Plus/Minus to TEs on DK during that same five-game period. Ertz is a sharp play on both sites this week and is currently the No. 1 rated TE in Adam Levitan’s Player Model for FD.
