Like any healthy market, price fluctuations are expected for players in daily fantasy football (NFL DFS). Exploring those fluctuations can often reveal bargain players to target after down weeks or players that are rising too high in price above future expectations.
Each week, we will analyze one player at each position that has notably increased and decreased in price.
Notable NFL DFS Price Increases
Bo Nix, QB (Denver Broncos) Week 8 DraftKings Price $5,600; Week 9 DraftKings Price $5,900
With the spotlight on Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, fellow rookie signal caller Bo Nix has quietly turned in an excellent four weeks of fantasy production and three Broncos wins in that span. Surprisingly, he is 10th in fantasy points at the position through eight weeks.
Nix has thrown seven touchdowns over the last four games, even with a goose egg in Week 7 at New Orleans. Add a couple scores on the ground and he has accounted for nine scores against one interception over that span. He set a new career high in passing yards with 284 against Carolina on Sunday as he searches for his first 300-yard passing day.
It’s possible that day could come against a normally stout Baltimore defense. The Ravens have allowed the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks on the season, and the Broncos could easily be in catch-up mode if the game script goes against them the way Vegas expects.
Bijan Robinson, RB (Atlanta Falcons) Week 8 DraftKings Price $7,200; Week 9 DraftKings Price $7,400
The Falcons second-year back plodded along to consistent, yet underwhelming results through the first five weeks of the season. Over the last three games, Bijan Robinson has come to life with 20+ DraftKings points in each game and a +10.38 average Plus/Minus.
His touches have increased slightly, but the real difference has been his touchdown production. He found the end zone just once through the first five weeks and he touched pay dirt four times over his last three games. Even with Tyler Allgeier in the mix, Robinson has earned 61% of the running back carries for the Falcons and a more important 81% of the running back targets.
With 20+ opportunities per game, Robinson is an excellent play against a Cowboys defense, allowing the second-most fantasy points to running backs on the season.

Ladd McConkey, WR (Los Angeles Chargers) Week 8 DraftKings Price $5,100; Week 9 DraftKings Price $5,600
Ladd McConkey held a coming-out party at home against New Orleans on Sunday by catching all six of his targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns. He finished as the second-best fantasy wide receiver on the week after finishing outside the top 35 each of the previous two weeks.
With Jim Harbaugh at the helm, the Chargers have made a concerted effort to run the ball more this season. Justin Herbert is only throwing for 203 yards a game this season after averaging 241 in 2023. Without Keenan Allen on the squad, Herbert is looking for a receiver to emerge as his No. 1 option and McConkey took a step in that direction last week.
The Georgia rookie has amassed at least seven targets in each of the last four games. Without other high end receiver options, McConkey has earned 41% of the wide receiver targets for the Chargers on the year. Those targets have only led to 50+ receiving yards in two games this season, but things could be looking up after last week’s performance.
David Njoku, TE (Cleveland Browns) Week 8 DraftKings Price $5,100; Week 9 DraftKings Price $5,500
The quarterback shift in Cleveland following the Deshaun Watson injury, coupled with the Amari Cooper trade, have boosted the fantasy value of the remaining receiving options in David Njoku and Cedric Tillman.
Njoku has two straight top-10 tight end weeks with 15 catches on 21 targets over that span and a touchdown in each game. Njoku is certainly capable of high-pointing the football to grab it over would-be defenders, and his new starting quarterback, Jameis Winston, has no trouble throwing 50-50 balls. They could be a perfect match for fantasy goodness as the season rolls along.

Notable NFL DFS Price Decreases
Dak Prescott, QB (Dallas Cowboys) Week 8 DraftKings Price $6,500; Week 9 DraftKings Price $6,300
The normally reliable Dak Prescott has struggled to right the ship for the Cowboys in a surprising 3-4 start to the season. He’s thrown six interceptions over the last three games compared to just four touchdowns.
Prescott has just one top-10 fantasy week on the season and only one game with a QB Rating above 100. He threw the ball 38 times on Sunday against the 49ers but still managed just 15.62 DraftKings points and a -5.33 Plus/Minus.
With a high over/under in Atlanta this week, Prescott has an opportunity to turn the corner and get the Cowboys back on track. The Falcons rank 26th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, but Prescott averages 35 fewer passing yards on the road this season.
Nick Chubb, RB (Cleveland Browns) Week 8 DraftKings Price $6,100; Week 9 DraftKings Price $5,800
Fantasy players weren’t sure what to expect from Nick Chubb as he returned to the Browns lineup in Week 7 after injury. So far, he hasn’t shown the explosiveness he’s been known for in his career in limited work.
The talented running back saw 36% of snaps in his first game and 61% last week. He has 27 rushes for 74 yards at 2.7 yards/carry. With one catch on five targets, he has been a non-factor in the passing game but did sneak into the end zone against the Bengals in his first game back.
Chubb could certainly work back into his old form with a bigger workload, but his price tag is still relatively high for the production he is currently bringing. Fantasy owners may want to wait for a strong couple fantasy weeks before considering him for lineups.
Keenan Allen, WR (Chicago Bears) Week 8 DraftKings Price $5,800; Week 9 DraftKings Price $5,500
The veteran Keenan Allen made the move to Chicago to serve as an experienced target for rookie Caleb Williams and mentor for rookie wideout Rome Odunze. After years of fantasy stardom, that move may have marked the end of high-end fantasy results for the 32-year-old.
In five healthy weeks, Allen has just one usable fantasy game and has yet to top 41 receiving yards. His only two touchdowns on the season both came in Week 6. Despite a 97% snap share against a porous Commanders defense last Sunday, Williams only connected with Allen on two of his seven targets for 39 yards.
Williams seemed to be making strides before last week’s struggle in Washington, but the Bears have lots of mouths to feed. Until something changes, Allen is on the outside looking in for fantasy lineup options.
Isaiah Likely, TE (Baltimore Ravens) Week 8 DraftKings Price $4,300; Week 9 DraftKings Price $4,100
It was a nice opening week for Isaiah Likely with nine catches on 12 targets for 111 yards and a score against the Chiefs to start the season. Since then, he has 15 total catches for 160 yards in the last seven games.
Fantasy players were stunned to see Likely outperforming Mark Andrews at the tight end position, but that hierarchy has righted itself throughout the season and with Andrews notching three top-10 tight end weeks in a row. Hopes were alive for both Ravens tight ends to remain fantasy-relevant, but Likely has not maintained starting production.
