This piece will identify some of my favorite NFL DFS stacks of the weekend. Week 18 NFL DFS Stacks and Picks
Nick Mullens + Justin Jefferson + Johnny Mundt
- Nick Mullens ($5,100 DraftKings, $7,100 FanDuel)
- Justin Jefferson ($8,500 DraftKings, $9,000 FanDuel)
- Johnny Mundt ($3,000 DraftKings, $4,500 FanDuel)
Despite four interceptions, Nick Mullens had a great fantasy day the last time these teams matched up. Mullens threw for 411 yards and two touchdowns in Week 16 against Detroit, totaling 23.54 DraftKings points.
The Lions have allowed the third-most DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks on the year and the second-most yards per attempt over their past ten games.
We just saw Mullens ball out in this same matchup, and now Detroit could be incentivized to pull starters early as they have little to play for.
Justin Jefferson has settled in nicely since returning from injury, seeing ten targets in three straight games. He couldn’t get much going last week against Green Bay, catching just five of ten targets for 59 yards. Jefferson produced the week prior, catching six of ten targets for 141 yards and a score against the Lions.
With Mullens under center, Jefferson has a 31% target share, to go along with a 27% target rate per route run and 47% of the team air yards. Detroit has allowed the fifth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing wide receivers and the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing WR1s.
Ever since Minnesota lost T.J. Hockenson, Johnny Mundt has slid into a full-time pass-catching role. He’s run 49 pass routes over the past two weeks compared to just 15 for Josh Oliver. He had three targets in Week 16, catching one ball for 23 yards.
He was able to produce last week, catching four of seven targets for 39 yards and a score. Detroit has been middle-of-the-pack against tight ends, allowing 7.4 yards per target and the 15th-most DraftKings points per game to the position.
Mundt would likely be seeing a lot of ownership if this were any other week, but value isn’t really an issue on this slate, so people aren’t flocking to the Minnesota tight end. This game environment is very appealing, and Mundt isn’t projecting for much ownership.
The Detroit side is a little more confusing. Amon-Ra St. Brown is viable, but it may be tough to fit multiple stud receivers. There’s also potential for Detroit to pull their starters at some point, even though Dan Campbell said they were going to play fully. One of Gibbs or St. Brown makes sense if forcing a runback.

Kyler Murray + Trey McBride

Kyler Murray has rounded into form recently, as he has over 20 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and in four of his last six. His most recent performance was his best, leading Arizona back from a 21-6 halftime deficit to beat the Eagles 35-31. He completed over 80% of his passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns while scrambling for 24 yards on the ground.
We’ve seen Murray utilize his legs more to extend plays when he’s healthy, and he looks fully healthy out there. He had a rushing touchdown in each of his first three games but hasn’t found the end zone in the past three weeks on the ground despite ten red zone rushing attempts.
We just saw Seattle give up over 11 yards per attempt to Mason Rudolph, and they’ve allowed the 14th-most DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks this year. Seattle’s defense started the year strong but has crumbled as of late.
Trey McBride continues to soak up volume with Murray under center, with seven or more targets in seven straight games. He’s been less efficient as of late, with just 9.1 and 10.8 DraftKings points over the past two games. He had 22+ DraftKings points in three of his five games prior, averaging 18.5 DraftKings points per game over the stretch.
Seattle has been middling against opposing tight ends, but they’ve allowed the seventh-most yards per target to the position.
This is an underrated game environment, and you can even throw in Kenneth Walker III on the other side if you want, but it’s not a necessity.
