FanDuel Sportsbook is officially live in Massachusetts, and that means you can join the sports betting fun before tonight’s NCAA Tournament action. Sign up now in Massachusetts and get $200 in bonus bets after your first $5 bet. If you’d prefer to bet on the NBA, NHL, soccer, or anything else — you can absolutely do that as well and earn the $200 in bonus bets. Your bonus bets will also be eligible for any game.
If you’re not in Massachusetts, no worries. You can still take advantage of FanDuel’s new-customer promo. They offer a “No Sweat First Bet” up to $1,000, which means if your first bet loses, you’ll be refunded in bonus bets equal to whatever you lost.

Bonus bets work like a credit in which you keep any profits from successful wagers, but no the bonus bet itself. So let’s say I put $20 on Florida Atlantic +110 against Kansas State on Saturday. If FAU wins, I’d profit $22 ($20 x 1.1) but I wouldn’t keep the $20. If FAU loses, the bonus bet just goes away.
- FanDuel promo in Massachusetts: Once you sign up with FanDuel in Massachusetts using the link above, you’ll be eligible for their new-customer boost, and it’s extremely simple to use. All you need to do is bet at least $5 on any market for your first bet, and then — win or lose — you’ll get $200 in bonus bets deposited directly into your account. Those bonus bets can then be used however you like, but they do expire after 14 days, so don’t forget about them. FanDuel should send you a reminder.
- FanDuel promo in other states: If you’re in other states, sign up with FanDuel Sportsbook using the link above and you’ll be eligible for their “No Sweat First Bet” up to $1,000. How to bet on Friday’s Sweet 16 slate
There are four great games happening in the NCAA Tournament today, and four teams will be gunning for an appearance in the Elite Eight. There’s betting values in every game if you find the right angle, but for this best bet idea, we’re going to have some fun and make a three-team moneyline parlay. The three games we’ll focus on:
- Alabama-San Diego State
- Creighton-Princeton
- Texas-Xavier
The spreads for all of these games make me a little nervous, but I’m confident in each team’s ability to come away with a win. The first team I like is Alabama in the 1-5 matchup with San Diego State. Alabama is a force to be reckoned with this season. Led by top-3 projected pick Brandon Miller, their offense is capable of scoring in bunches and their defense is tough. San Diego State has had a nice run led by their stingy defense, but this is where it comes to an end. SDSU’s offense won’t be able to keep pace with Alabama’s. Throw Alabama into the parlay.
The next team I love is Creighton. This one is simple. Princeton had a Cinderella run through the first two rounds and is an awesome story as the 15-seed underdogs. But Creighton has loads of talent at every position and they won’t come into this game underestimating Princeton. It’s possible this game will be close, but I don’t see a world where Creighton doesn’t come away with the win. Throw that in the parlay.
Finally, we’re looking at the Big 12 to have another representative in the Elite Eight. After being the best conference all season long, it’s only right that they get another team into the quarterfinals. Xavier is good, but Texas is better. Marcus Carr should have a field day. Throw them in the parlay, too.
Parlaying these three favorites is a good way to increase your payout opportunity while also betting on the superior teams. Consider using this for your first FanDuel bet. This should pay around +100, depending on when you bet it.
