With FanDuel Sportsbook officially launching in Massachusetts, it’s time to try your hand at betting on March Madness. With FanDuel’s promo code in Massachusetts, you can get $200 in bonus bets after your first $5 bet. Those bonus bets can be used on anything — the NCAA Tournament, NBA, golf, NHL, soccer and more.

If you’re not in Massachusetts, you can still take advantage of FanDuel’s fantastic “No Sweat First Bet” up to $1,000. That means if your first bet loses, you’ll be refunded in bonus bets equal to whatever you lost.

Here’s how each boost works:

FanDuel’s promo, explained

Massachusetts: If you’re in Massachusetts, claiming your new-customer boost is easy. All you need to do is create an account and place a first bet of at least $5 on any market. Whether your bet wins or loses, you’ll immediately get $200 deposited in bonus bets into your account. You can use the $200 however you want! Maybe that’s one big bet, maybe it’s a bunch of small bets. The choice is yours! But the bonus bets do expire after 14 days, so make sure you use them!

Other states: If you’re not in Massachusetts, claiming your new-customer boost is still easy. All you need to do is create an account and then place your first wager. If your bet wins, then congrats! You won your bet! But if your bet loses, FanDuel will match your stake in bonus bets (up to $1,000) deposited directly into your account.

How to bet on Thursday’s March Madness slate

If you’re looking for ways to get involved in the sports betting action, March Madness is the perfect time and place to do it. With the Sweet 16 starting tonight, you can increase the stakes of your viewing experience by betting with FanDuel Sportsbook. There’s one game in particular that I want to focus on for a best bet idea and it just so happens to be the first game of the night: Kansas State vs. Michigan State.

Michigan State has had a nice tournament run thus far. In the first round, they beat a talented USC team led by Boogie Ellis. And in the Round of 32, they upset the Big East’s top team, Marquette. This has given the Tom Izzo hype train some extra fuel heading into the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. I’m impressed by Michigan State’s run, but I’m not ready to give this Sweet 16 game to Michigan State just yet. Their opponent, Kansas State, is too good.

Kansas State is having one of the best seasons in program history. Led by senior guard Markquis Nowell and senior forward Keyontae Johnson, this team is a force to be reckoned with. They had an impressive run in the toughest conference in the country — the Big 12 — and now they’re ready to show they’re the real deal, not a fluky Sweet 16 team.

In the first two games of the tournament, Michigan State held their opponents to 62 and 60 points, respectively. Kansas State is yet to be held to fewer than 75 points in the tournament, and I don’t think they’ll stop now. I expect the Kansas State offense to overpower the Michigan State defense and end their run in the Sweet 16.

FanDuel has Kansas State at -105 on the moneyline and I think that’s borderline disrespectful to the Wildcats. They should be relatively heavy favorites to win this game.
