NFL DFS is a game of conviction, and below you’ll find a list of flag plants that our panel of DFS analysts are high on for Week 9.

Week 9 NFL DFS Flag Plants
Sean Koerner: Director of Predictive Analytics for Action Network
Travis Etienne ($6,300 DraftKings; $7,600 FanDuel) (Cash/GPP)
Travis Etienne has begun the post-James Robinson era with two massive games, going 14/114/1 & 24/156/1 on the ground. He has quickly become one of the most explosive backs in the game, and I expect the Jaguars to lean on him heavily this week against the Raiders.
Etienne is currently my No. 2 ranked RB for Week 9 and is criminally underpriced in DFS this week. He’s a must-play in cash, and while he may be fairly chalky, I still think it’s necessary to tap into his massive upside in GPPs as well.
Beer: RotoGrinders Analyst
Austin Ekeler ($8,800 DraftKings; $9,400 FanDuel) (Cash/GPP)
The Chargers get a juicy matchup coming off the bye with this terrible Atlanta Falcons defense this week. Atlanta just got smashed by D’Onta Foreman and coughed up a huge week to Leonard Fournette a few weeks ago. The Chargers will be without Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, so the targets should continue to go Ekeler’s way.
He has 22 receptions on 28 targets over just the last two games alone. The Falcons are in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points, receptions, and receiving yards allowed to running backs and rank 26th in DVOA against the run.
Ekeler is averaging a staggering 33.7 DK Points over his last four games, and I think we get another ceiling game here, making him a guy I want in the majority of my DFS lineups this week.
Notorious: RotoGrinders Analyst
Amon-Ra St. Brown ($6,600 DraftKings; $7,100 FanDuel) (Cash/GPP)
A run of bad injury luck has held the Sun God back from big fantasy outings, but he was back to a full-time player last week and saw 10 targets. The Lions like to move him all over the field, so he shouldn’t run into coverage from Jaire Alexander all that often this week.
St. Brown also has less competition for targets with T.J. Hockenson traded, DJ Chark on injured reserve, and Josh Reynolds doubtful for this game.
He offers a high floor, given his projected target share, and we all know the type of ceiling he brings to the table.
Dan Gaspar: RotoGrinders Analyst
Davante Adams ($8,100 DraftKings; $8,100 FanDuel) (GPP)
Adams was my big pivot play off the Tyreek Hill chalk last week, and that failed miserably. However, I’m prepared to go right back to Adams in Week 9, with his current projected ownership coming in at single digits.
It’s no surprise that Adams’ production has taken a hit without Aaron Rodgers force-feeding him the ball every game, but the underlying metrics remain strong for him in Las Vegas, with a 29% target share on the season.
It is a bit concerning that Adams has failed to hit double-digit targets in any of his last three games, but the over-correction is coming soon, and I want to be heavily invested when it hits, especially if he’s going to be low-owned.
