Studs
As usual, most of the stud firepower in this matchup is going to come from the Chiefs. Not only do they have some of the best players in all of fantasy, but they also have a significant edge from a Vegas perspective. They’re listed as 8.5-point home favorites, giving them a sizable edge in implied team total.
The Chiefs are led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. However, it’s been a down year for him in general. His turnovers are way up, with his 11 interceptions this season equaling his total for the past two years combined. His average of 290.9 passing yards per game also represents a decrease of more than 25 yards compared to last season, and he’s on pace for fewer passing touchdowns.
Things have been particularly poor for Mahomes from a fantasy perspective of late. He’s posted a negative Plus/Minus in four of his past five games, and he’s racked up 15.0 DraftKings points or fewer in each of those contests. That’s simply not the type of production we’ve come to expect from him.
